The Schofield is a single-action, top-break revolver designed by Smith & Wesson, first introduced in 1870. It's the first standard issue cartridged-firing revolver to be used by the US Army. Many different variations of this revolver were made, adopted worldwide and used in many wars of the late 19th and early 20th century.
