Upgrade Artifacts

Description
Updated to 1.9.0.4 - Report Bugs on the Discord

X Achievement Compatible
✔ Ironman Compatible

Upgrade any artifact* you own through a unique and balanced decision!

This mod is a replacement for my older mod Reforge Artifacts and does not require the Royal Court DLC

Compatibility
Natively handles Valyrian Weapons from the AGoT mod, so no issues with compatibility there. Should be compatible with everything, even total overhauls like EK2, as I haven't changed any existing files. The entire mod is new code.

Features
New Decison called "Improve Artifacts"
  • The decision becomes available once you own an artifact
  • If you have an Antiquarian who is rated as Good or Excellent, and you have any artifact other than a trinket* that is not Illustrious, then you will be able to pay to have the item upgraded
  • Improved items will increase in one level of quality/rarity (common -> Masterwork, Masterkwork -> Famed, Famed -> Illustrious)
  • Items will also have their stats increased
    • Artifact stats will increase according to your antiquarian's skill and whether you own a Blacksmith Duchy building
  • Decision can be taken as many times as you want as long as you have artifacts that qualify and the gold to pay for the improvement
    • Upgrading from Common to Masterwork costs 500 gold
    • Upgrading from Masterwork to Famed costs 1,000 gold
    • Upgrading from Famed to Illustrious costs 1,500 gold
    • This is for game balance and future changes could be made if needed
    • If you have a Good Antiquarian and you do not have the Blacksmith Duchy building, you will only be able to increase the weapon or armor modifiers as follows:
      • For modifiers that only have 3 levels of improvement, you can max out those improvements all the way up to Level 3
      • For Modifiers that have 7 levels of improvement, you can increase them to Level 4 Only
      • For Modifiers that have 11 levels of improvement, you can increase them to Level 5 Only
    • If you have a Good Antiquarian and you do have the Blacksmith Duchy building, you will only be able to increase the weapon or armor modifiers as follows:
      • For modifiers that only have 3 levels of improvement, you can max out those improvements all the way up to Level 3
      • For Modifiers that have 7 levels of improvement, you can increase them all the way to Level 7
      • For Modifiers that have 11 levels of improvement, you can increase them to Level 10 Only
      • If you have an Excellent Antiquarian and you do not have the Blacksmith Duchy building, you will only be able to increase the weapon or armor modifiers as follows:
        • For modifiers that only have 3 levels of improvement, you can max out those improvements all the way up to Level 3
        • For Modifiers that have 7 levels of improvement, you can increase them all the way to Level 7
        • For Modifiers that have 11 levels of improvement, you can increase them to Level 10 Only
      • If you have an Excellent Antiquarian and you do have the Blacksmith Duchy building, you will only be able to increase the weapon or armor modifiers as follows:
        • For modifiers that only have 3 levels of improvement, you can max out those improvements all the way up to Level 3
        • For Modifiers that have 7 levels of improvement, you can increase them all the way to Level 7
        • For Modifiers that have 11 levels of improvement, you can increase them all th way up to Level 11
      • This is for game balance - Future nerfing may occur for balance as well

    Save Game Compatibility
    • Missed reports of issues on existing saves. My tests were fine, but others are reporting issues with certain mods installed. Safest with a new save.
