Description

Larger garrisons for built up cities.
Greater Garrisons adds an additional one or two units to the garrisons of all settlements. All economic buildings now provide one weaker garrison unit, military buildings provide one stronger unit. Garrison buildings have had an additional one or two high tier units added as well.

Overall, this means taking cities will be harder, and you can fortify a major city to have a full garrison of twenty units by picking up a garrison building and some other buildings.

This mod also adds some minor control bonuses (between +1 and +3) for garrisons, due to the fact that you have more units there to help keep the peace, and adds extra map vision for cities on your undercity discovery buildings.

Additionally, every five turns the garrisons will gain an extra experience level, up to a maximum of six levels. This may be dropped to three levels, I'm not sure yet. This will allow older garrisons to provide a stiffer fight, compared to freshly made ones.

Please feel free to comment if something seems wrong. There are over 2,300 new garrison entries and 4,200 vanilla building_levels entries so I'm bound to have missed something.

Most mode should be compatible with this, but it might be a little unbalanced.

This mod should be multiplayer compatible!

This mod can be enabled or disabled midway through a campaign. It'll take a turn and then garrison list will change.

@Zorbaz I also encountered a wizard with no spells, a Frost Maiden in a major settlement garrison.

The major settlements defense buildings for cathay does not provide a public order bonus. Would you mind adding it or is it intentional?

I've seen mention of wizards with no spells, I came across some in Ubersreik when you build the inn, not sure if you've already fixed those as it's been ages since I got attacked in that settlement, but I wanted to fill in to discussion about them :D

Thank you very much for your response I thought that logically given that a small hamlet was led by a captain of the empire, the capital of the empire should also be commanded by a captain of the empire and not a regiment low-end spearman. I hope the mode creator adds generals to the garrisons of all capitals, of all factions in the game. This mod is excellent.

@WaRZa Checked again. Neither vanilla or this mod adds an empire captain to Altdorf. All other types of settlements it does. So this mod at least doesn't remove them from Altdorf. They were never there since one of the more recent updates at least. When Zorbaz updates he might add them, I agree that they should be added.

Am I the only one experiencing this problem? if this is the case it would come from me then with my 90 other mods to activate but none interfere with the garrisons is it strange?

Small clarification, the garrison is not complete, at the launch of the campaign in the 1st round the captain of the empire simply does not appear in the description of the garrison, he does not also appear in the upper levels of the capital, while the small hamlet has a captain of the empire and not the capital of the empire? This is not coherent from a military point of view

Thank you for your response, however the captain of the empire does not even appear in the description of the garrison in Altdorf although he is there in a level 1 hamlet, I think that the captain of the empire is not replaced but it is not planned in Altdorf or am I wrong? In this case the problem would come from this mod

@WaRZa it's vanilla from what I can see, the empire captain has lower priority then loads of other units. If you have a big enough garrison with certain units you lose the captain. Especially with mods who add bigger garrisons like this one.

I would guess it's a recent change from CA or a bug. Easily fixable. The captain is more valuable then several of the other units I would say.
