It was made to simply just make the genes+ mods genes more expensive and less cheatable with only 1 mk, now it is 3000 base mks.

Great question, as far as I know both should be working. If it doesn't then try this mod with the base buy genes mod and see if that fixes the issue

i noticed upon loading in that only genes+ were available, and not vanilla genes, even with buy genes more expensive enabled, any resolutions?

Okay so scratch that, apparently the base mod needs a new save and then it'll work and so it seems more likely that it'll need a new save as well
