Also the Alien Language research item never shows up in the research tab despite having encountered the alien ship. Improved laser pistol hasn't shown up.
Something that would be nice to see is the ability to break down and reverse engineer advanced items for some amount of research credit.

So if I want to research "superior improved solar" I am required by this mod to first research something called "improved solar cells" but "improved solar cells" doesn't exist anywhere, under research or as a build-able item/craft-able item
Same with "Graphene Solar Cells" and "Battery Optimization"
Would love the ability to just have the new version boost X above the base item, a modest increase like the carbon vs. default windmills do now. The increased materials cost per unit and the research cost balances that without making it uber powered.
I think the carbon windmills in base game is double output for either 50% or 100% more materials cost, including carbon tubes vs. plain metal which is a task just to get it either through research first or killing a lot of bugs. Having more fun things to research and build towards is always fun, just not making them so OP you never really need to make more than a few of them.
