Subterfuge: A Silent Expansion Mod

Adds new content to The Silent.

GAMEPLAY:
With Subterfuge, I have created new Shiv synergies, new Weak synergies, new Poison abilities, and new powers, all keeping in line with the thematic idea of the Silent being a trickster assassin.

Compromised - Gain additional abilities against Compromised (Weak or Vulnerable) targets.

Paralytic Poison - A new type of poison in the Silent's arsenal. Reduces enemy's damage by current amount. Paralytic Poison stacks fall off by half each turn. New cards allow you to convert regular Poison into Paralytic Poison, inflict additional Paralytic Poison on already Poisoned targets, and more!

Shiv Synergies - Gain additional abilities that grant Vulnerable or Weakness infliction to your shivs, gain additional block at the end of your turn depending on number of shivs played. Create the Amalgamated Shiv, which permanently gains damage over your run. And more!

Vaporize - Inflict damage to target equal to target's current amount of Poison, then remove all Poison.

Excontaminate - Remove all Poison from the target. Your next attack will inflict that amount of Poison.

This mod requires BaseMod and StSLib.

I playtested this mod extensively on my own. If you find any bugs or have suggestions, feel free to share, I am always open to feedback.

I took care to not create any individually super overpowered cards. My goal was to make Subterfuge feel as close to base game difficulty as possible. However, naturally with the addition of new content, the balance changes. 50 new cards added to the base game pool somewhat dilutes your card choices after each combat; in an effort to counter this, I've created more card draw options. Also, just as with the base game experience, certain rare combinations of cards and relics still do become ridiculously overpowered, though they are rare.

There's a bug with Amalgamated Shiv 🆚 Accuracy found during the run 🔀
There might also be a bug with Subterfuge 🆚 Wraithform, but not sure 👻

What's the name of this mod in the launcher? I can't seem to find it in the long list.

@Brazilian_Hamilton - Oh yeah, you're right, I didn't think that one through all the way. I've updated the mod and changed Vaporize to retain its old function, but work like un-upgraded Catalyst, so it doubles the Poison on target before removing itself.

I'm still a bit confused, wouldn't it be the same if I just hit end turn and the target would lose hp equal to their poison? Or is the poison removal like in Excontaminate where you can apply it later to another target? Because the wording of the card makes it look like the poison does its damage and then its lost

@Brazilian_Hamilton - Thanks for asking and not just going wtf and ditching the mod.

The idea behind this effect is that in vanilla Silent gameplay, on most non-elite or non-boss enemies, Poison does a lot of damage but it is inefficient since after a target with Poison dies, the rest of that Poison is lost. So in effect, the player spent extra turns and extra mana to apply that Poison to the target but past a certain point, it was wasted. Especially in multi-target fights, this hurts the Silent a lot. Vaporize is intended to be used as a finishing blow on a target with Poison left, or as a bit of burst damage where you know you won't need more ticks of Poison damage in order to kill that target or survive the encounter.

Vaporize is also similar to Exterminate, in which you're intended to use it on a dying target but you want to make better use of its remaining Poison stacks rather than just killing the target and losing all of them.

I don't get the Vaporize effect, how is it supposed to be good? Isn't it just a lot less damage?
