2000 Physgun Replacement

Description
The projector goes dark.

Looks best with sv_defaultdeployspeed set to 1.

This one was a piece of work, its the first iteration of the Physgun for HL2 before it was scrapped and became the Gravity gun instead, with custom animations to compliment its design, also has C_hands and Physgun/Super Gravity Gun version is colorable unlike the other version on the workshop.

Its not perfect but its as good as i think it can be or what i have the sanity to do as the viewmodel and worldmodel needed a lot of work to get it to function properly in gmod, before it lacked mostly every bone, claws had issues, and sprites werent assigned to them properly, special thanks to FiLZo for doing like 95% of the viewmodel work and a lot of general help.

The worldmodel is built off the viewmodel as Valve never made one, i didnt model it but i spent about a few days trying to get it to fit but it never was modeled to properly fit the hands and animations as it was made for HL2 and not HL2DM, so it wasnt designed to fit.

plus i was getting sick of trying to tweak the thing after several days.

A good change to this would be if the third person model & position was altered to look a bit better.


The Physgun could be moved up so that the handle goes in the stabilizing hand and that a stock or grip of some kind could be added so that there's something for the other hand to hold onto.

The E3 2003 SWEP is very broken in my opinion, would be nice if you could do that but better.

Nah HL2 was always on source, the line was more wobbly in 1999 as Valve started working on HL2 right after HL1 released where it was Goldsource with more experimental code, by 2000 stuff like physics, bumpmaps and speculars were beginning to show and other staples of source that are around to this day.

yeah i mean it very much looks like a half life model and was probably from when they were still using basically default goldsource
