It was a dark Summer night at the Control Point Bar, slow again, just the regular crowd shuffling around. It was close to midnight when a handsome stranger walked through the old bar door. He was sporting a beard and wearing a shirt that looked like it had been through a warzone, yet his haircut well-maintained. Everyone was staring at him, wondering who he is and what his deal was.

As he approached the counter, the bartender scowled behind it, wiping a glass over and over with an old rag, grunted at the stranger, "What's your story, mate?"

The mysterious stranger smirked and said, "Let's just say-- I'm the bomb."

The bartender made a puzzled face, the stranger just chuckled to himself. "Give me a double your strongest whiskey, neat."

The bartender corrected himself, grunting out, "All we've gots' is Firebrew." The mysterious stranger grinned, as if in on his own joke, "That'll be perfect, mate. And a round of that for everyone!" Everyone clapped and cheered and hooted and hollared.

As the night went on, the stranger regaled the bar with tales of his unorthodox beliefs and strange adventures. Though no one could quite figure out what he was talking about, they couldn't help but be captivated by his charm and war stories.

2AM would strike, and with one last call the stranger bid everyone farewell. As he walked to the door, he turned back and shouted, "I have something to say," all eyes were on him, raising his hands in a shrug, "It's better to burn out-- than to fade away!" He turns back, striding out through the door, disappearing into the mysterious dark night he arrived therefrom.
