150 days after I'd published Better Geography (and migrated to the U.S. in search of a new life)... 1 week after I'd bought a gaming PC... I've returned to the Steam Workshop to publish a new Shogun 2 mod.

This mod aims to fix the slow reload speed of matchlock units. The Proving Grounds building has been modded to provide +10 reload speed to all matchlock units recruited from the same fort. Regular matchlock ashigaru can now start with a reload speed of 20, compared to 25 for bow ashigaru. The Ikko Ikki variant in particular benefits a lot, because its reload speed will go up from 5 to 15. (Since the reload speed of Ikko Ikki bow ashigaru starts at 10, this means that their matchlock ashigaru would actually fire quicker than their bow ashigaru!)

This mod also includes these changes:

1. Gunsmith and Arsenal buildings will now provide +1 experience bonus to all matchlock units.
2. The Arsenal building will decrease the recruitment time of matchlock samurai by 1 turn.
3. The Gunsmith building will provide an additional +1 experience bonus to Otomo matchlock ashigaru.
4. The Arsenal building will provide an additional +2 experience bonus to Otomo matchlock ashigaru and Otomo matchlock samurai.
5. My mod for fixing ranked fire has been bundled into this mod.
6. A version of my mod for recruiting matchlock kobaya earlier has been bundled into this mod. Unlike in the standalone version, which allows their recruitment from trading ports, in this mod, you would need either a military port or a nanban port to recruit them.
