Yeah that's sorta a given.
If you want to play meta, you aren't going to be playing Blue Eyes, lol.

I played way back when, before GX/5D's came out, I don't care about the meta. I just like my blue eyes deck and consistently go on 5+ win-streaks so it works well enough for me.

Not too bad for a pure Blue-Eyes, but I would highly recommend better usage of the Extra Deck. You're going to be very reliant on Tyrant and Jet Dragon in this deck, and you won't be very adaptable. Get Spirit Dragon for some basic graveyard interruption and throttling any potential pendulum decks. Azure Eyes isn't bad too.

If you want to make a better deck that isn't strictly Blue Eyes, you have to put some Rank 8's in there starting with Dragublion and Numeron Dragon. Hope Harbinger should be next on the list.
