Replaced textures with something a bit more vanilla (I'm no artist though).
Excellent retexture by Phaneron: https://steamproxy.net/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2980900546

Work time for all tasks increased. Balance suggestions appreciated.

Original mod notes (1.2):

Adding the possibility to mine some gold in the rivers.

A long time ago, life in the rim was lone and boring. But then it happened: GOLD was found!
All of a sudden people from all over the planet rushed to the rivers to find a nugget of this precious metal.
And with it comes a new, deadly disease: GOLD FEVER!

---------------------------------------------------------

GOLD RUSH adds structures and recipes to mine gold out of the rivers (and rivers only!).
In rivers, the following structures can be built:

---------------------------------------------------------

======= GOLD PAN =======

A classic! Simplest of the tools. (10 Steel) Three recipes possible:

- Use Gold Pan:
Simply washing out some dirt from the river. 1 piece of gold is obtained, but it takes ages!
- Wash out sediment:
Washing out dug up sediment promises better results. 1 piece of gold is obtained, moderate time-consuming.
- Wash out filtered sediment:
Filtered sediment is the best base for using your gold pan. 3 pieces of gold are obtained, moderate time-consuming.

======= DIGGING SPOT =======

As simple as it is. A shovel and a bucket. (15 Steel)

- Dig up sediment from the river
The heavier gold is found deeper on the ground of the river. Dig for it! 1 sediment is obtained, moderately time-consuming.

======= STREAM SLUICE =======
(Requires Smithing research)

Use the power of the stream to filter your sediment. (70 Steel)

- Filter sediment
The dug up sediment will get filtered and sediment rich of gold will be left. 1 filtered sediment is obtained, moderately time-comsuming.

======= DREDGE =======
(Requires Smithing and Electricity research)

An improvised dredge! Pumping up sediment from the river and leading it directly into an integrated stream sluice! Making gold-mining way easier! (Steel 180 | Components 15 | Chemfuel 50)

- Pump up river sediment and filter it
By using a pump, powered by a generator, and a stream sluice, filtered sediment is obtained way more efficiently. 6 filtered sediments are obtained, moderately time-consuming. Needs chemfuel!

---------------------------------------------------------

The following structure must be build on solid ground:

---------------------------------------------------------

======= GOLD SHAKING-TABLE =======
(Requires Smithing and Electricity research)

A masterpiece of engineering! Great alternative to your gold pan and it keeps your hands dry! But the fine mechanism only works with filtered sediment. (Steel 250 | Components 12) 50 Buckets of filtered sediment can be "stored" nearby. (In-game declared as "fuel")

- Use shaking table
Using the shaking table to extract the gold out of the filtered sediment. 1 piece of gold is obtained, fast production. needs power!

If they think the gold is to op for the amount, just see about adding a slider of "efficiency" for it and have 0 be base -x is below it and +x is above the base amount. Just a thought. I'm adding this mod just for the fact of early game gold.

what if the gold spawned nodes like helixian gas? or if there were a scripted event/quest like the mech facilities where a colonist hears about the "gold up in them there mountains over yonder?"

Thanks for the heads-up. Obviously anything that lets you produce Gold basically effortlessly is going to be overpowered. I didn't create the mod, only updated it. If you have specific ways I could balance the mod, I am always open to suggestions.

This mod is overpowered. You might want that but just a heads up.

это конечно может быть связанно с имбалансностью другого мода который добавляет хороших роботов шахтеров, но все же мне кажется лучше всего дать игрокам настроить количество выпадение золота
MASHINIST 9 Jun, 2023 @ 10:05am
Хороший мод, но пожалуйста понизьте выпадение золота при промывке, его выпадает слишком много учитывая то что выпадает оно каждый раз. спасибо за мод

Makes sense, thanks.

Biofuel refining require Electricity (may be not and it is my mods did it, but in my current game it is). I thought dredge technology is rather simple and it is possible to buy chemfuel from traders or milk from boomalopes before you can make it by self. That's why I suggested Electricity instead of Biofuel refining.
Zaljerem  [author] 3 Jun, 2023 @ 8:55am
Updated: Sluice requires Smithing, Dredge and shaking table require Smithing and Electricity. I might change the Dredge to Smithing and Biofuel refining rather than Electricity as it requires chemfuel. Any thoughts?

Good suggestion, I will implement it.
