v0.2.0 will take longer. decided to work on other gmod projects for now, kind of burnt out on this and seeing how activision abandoned dmz i also haven't been playing dmz as much as the first months when i first developed this.

But still If you find bugs that make the current experience unplayable feel free to report, i might have enough in me to fix it if it's doable.


Part 2 of my LUA Campaignifier Addon.

In GMZ, you scavenge, survive and kill until an exfiltration point appears in the map. If you don't know what DMZ is then check out the videos to get an idea of what it is. GMZ is a looter shooter survival mini "gamemode" based on Call of Duty MWII's Warzone 2 DMZ gamemode, speciifically the Building 21 map.

PLEASE PLAY ON x64 BRANCH FOR PERFORMANCE

The current flow of the game is:

1. Spawn in a random spawnpoint by typing cmpf_dmz_spawn_player.
2. Loot gear and items from crates and enemies.
3. Endure enemy reinforcements.
4. Buy equipment from the buy station.
5. Exfil at minute 10 or stay until minute 7 to fight the boss.

In it's current state, GMZ is very barebones but i feel it's nearly playable and it's kind of hard to develop this by myself without feedback or to motivate me so i'm releasing it at it's current early state.


• DMZ-like Inventory
Pick up and store items supported by this gamemode and deploy them at your leisure.
Finding backpacks upgrades the inventory size.
BIND cmpf_dmz_open_inventory TO TAB and press TAB to open the inventory.

• DMZ-like crate looting
Loot items using a UI reminiscent of the actual game.

• Buy Station
Spend money earned from exploring, crates or enemies to buy uncommon items, weapons, or to resupply.

• XP and Ranks
Killing enemies and interacting with certain items offer xp which unlocks more shop slots in the buy station.

• NPC Armor Support
Uses my Armored NPC Combines addon and integrates it into the gamemode, with armored enemies giving better rewards.

• Bossfight
Survive until the 8 minute mark and see if you can kill Velikan with his rapid fire grenade launcher.

• MW Base support and ARCCW sweps for NPCs
The guns you use will be MWB sweps, but npcs still need ARCCW sweps to function.

• 16 Custom Perks
By breaching safes scattered in the map or through buy stations, you can get various kinds of perks for surviving in this gamemode.

• 1 Killstreak
For now there is only a sentry gun killstreak. Shoots explosive ammunition and is vulnerable to explosions.

• Weapons Cases
Find weapons cases scattered in the map and obtain blueprint weapons, divided into 3 tiers.

• Stashed Weapon and Backpack
Medium and large backpacks are capable of storing MWB weapons + their attachments.
Successful extraction saves your held weapon, stashed weapon, and backpack size for use in next deployment.
Consecutive extractions award you with random perks on next deployment.

• Locked Room
Enemies have a 5% chance of dropping (doubled for purple armored) an Old Cell Key used to open a room containing 4 perks.

• Medical Cabinets
Mostly near toilets and interiors, they drop healthkits and occasionally, ArcStims.

• Custom Equipments

• JMOD Ezarmor Support
JMOD armors are found from crates and buystations.
