Description
Manufacturer: [HDI] Hephaestus Defense Industries

Series Line: Anulus

Ship Class: Destroyer

Registry #: 826

Ship Name: Falen

Designation: AS-DR-826 Falen

The Falen is a standard destroyer model used in Artemis by the UPA across the system. The distinctive ring design is a hallmark of the UPA military ships, allowing for easy identification and serving other purposes not listed due to clearance restrictions.

Capable of atmo flight on most planets with a focus on space combat, the Falen is a versatile ship used primarily for fleet bolstering but can operate on its own when needed for patrols. Dual JDS design allows the ship to operate at great ranges with one serving as a useful backup should the primary be damaged during combat.

Internal design is cozy but utilitarian, supporting a minimalist crew of 2. It can operate for extended durations before requiring to make port.

Equipped with 14 turrets, 4 artillery cannons, 2 spine mounted railguns, and a robust forward thrust; this ship is designed with striking and evasion in mind. While not a damage sponge, it is able to withstand a commendable amount of damage and still offer some hurt to the enemies. This ship is most effective at forward targeting and evasion.

[Ship Lore]

The Anulus Series, like the Omega Series, is a by-product of research conducted on the Tartarus; a doomed colony ship sent by ONRC, formally ONR before leaving Sol. The crew died in transit due to faulty cryo equipment that wasn't properly developed before departure; unlike what was used by the refugees carried by HDI seeking Artemis decades later. The design language became the standard used by the official government that was instituted to bring an end to the chaos in the system long after arriving and settling in. Notable features include the blue ambiance highlighting the ship. The color indicates which fleet the ship belongs to. In this case, the blue indicates the 2nd fleet. The namesake of the series, Anulus, is Latin for 'ring'.

It should also be noted that while both the Anulus and Omega Series ships are produced by HDI, the Anulus is used strictly by the UPA as part of the ARDN department and the Omega by HDI only. The distinction is intentional since HDI often engages in covert operations that cannot be tied to the official government whom it is an open secret they control.

Just a quick note, this ship utilizes several design techniques borrowed from a good friend Omega. He produced a ship called the Mainstay and it is a fabulous item so go check it out at the link below. He also made the thumbnail overlay that I use.

Thanks for the explanation. It seems that whole ship is welded complete. I love your workshop content. Awesome job, keep working ;)

Yeah I think that is a bug because I don't use mods to build. More than likely it is a bug since I use a skybox so it may be some kind of data rip. I sometimes get it myself and it is frustrating.

Hello, what mods were used? Game tells me some blocks will not be pasted. Nice creation btw :)

Also, just a heads up, I'll be releasing the Telos tonight. It is also part of the Anulus series but it is part of the official [ARDN] product line. I'll be sure to make certain there is no drift.

That's weird. I haven't had that issue. I'll look into it and see what I can do to relieve that problem.
