DAMEN Fast Crew Supplier 3307 "Typhoon"

New from MPJ Shipyard, the Fast Crew Supplier 3307 "Typhoon". Modeled closely after the real life DAMEN FCS 3307 by DAMEN shipyards. Designed for personnel transfer to windturbines and offshore rigs, rescue operations and fire fighting, with the added capability of diving support and carriage of deck cargo.

Technical background

Typhoon is designed for speed and manoeuvrability, propelled by an incredibly powerful and fuel efficient gas turbine for speeds up to 84 knots and up to 5.5 hours of sailing time, range about 450 nautical miles. The gas turbine drives two waterjets for extreme manoeuvrability. At low speeds take care as the vessel's reactions are quite sensitive.

She is equipped with autopilot and cruise throttle for semi automatic navigation. Turn on the anti collsion system which stops the vessel in the vicinity of objects (when cruise throttle is active). Turn on the deadmen system to automatically stop the vessel when you fall overboard.

The vessel can be controlled from the aft seat, with direction reversible controls on your left. Switch between watercannon control and bowthruster control with the switches to your left. Do not forget to request the controls.

Typhoon is equipped for carrying up to 20 personnel to offshore installations. The vessel furthermore has a changing room, bar, hospital, crew cabins, galley and messroom.

Power is divided between main- and generator batteries. Gen batteries are charged by main batteries and by the emergency generator. In case of emergency the main batteries can be connected to the generator batteries with a breaker in the engine room and emergency generator space. Fire pump power comes from the generator batteries. Spare batteries can be found in the controller/battery room, behind the bar.
