Info
VMV 11 is a VMV-class patrol boat. They were fast for their time and made out of wood. 20 VMV class boats were built from 1929 to 1935. Currently the VMV 11 is located in Kotka, Finland in a marine museum.

Usage guide
General operation
  • When using the vessel it is recommended to turn on all circuit breakers in the pilothouse.
  • Lights can be turned on and off from the instrument panel to the right of the circuit breakers.
  • Anchor can be operated from the instrument panel above the light panel.
  • When lighting the kitchen stove you need to open the air valve (near the ceiling) and put the ignition key to the on position. Coal for the stove is located under the kitchen counter.
  • The map in the stern of the ship can be moved with the joy stick and zoomed with the + and - icons. "Center map" button keeps the map centered on the vessel
Driving the vessel
Steering
  • Steering can be done from the helm outside or inside.
  • You can turn in-place with the arrow right of both helms.
  • Reverse with the button to the right of you on the helm.
  • Heading hold can be turned on from the front of the inside helm.
Operating engines
  1. Make sure the engine circuit breaker is on.
  2. Open the fuel valves on the engine control panel (right side of the lights panel).
  3. Start the needed engines.
  • When patrolling at slow speed it is recommended to only use the cruise engine and keep the main engines off.
  • Unrealistic mode increases the speed of the vessel to about 50 knots.
  • The vessel can be refueled from between the engine room hatch and the stern mast.
  • If access to the fuel tank is needed you need to unlock the hatch from the pilothouse.
