If you are an english speaking person, I'm gonna try to sum up the rules the best I can. So here we go!
Truco is a card game, played, as far as I know, in brazilian pubs and taverns. You can play 1v1 or 2v2 with a partner (It's way more fun) It consists of 40 cards (8s, 9s, and 10s are not included). From best to worst:

3 - 2 - A - K - J - Q - 7 - 6 - 5
Clubs - Hearts - Spades - Diamonds

Each player gets 3 cards. The dealer then puts one card from the deck face up on the table. The following number will then become the strongest of all, regardless of the ranking above. If you didn't understand, here's the deal:

If the card on the table is an A, the stongest number will be 2, not 3.
Card on table: 7; Strongest Number (in this case, letter): Q
Card on table: 2; Strongest Number: 3 (and so on)

That "strongest number" is called Manilha. It's pretty weird for an english speaking person to say that word, so I will call it Costanza Card (Because I like Seinfeld).

This is where the suits come into play. If two people use the same number, it's a draw. But, If two people use the Costanza card, use the suits ranking above.

So, each turn consists of a best out of 3 match, using the cards in your hand and trying to beat your opponent(s). If you win that turn, you get 1 point. First team that gets 12 points, wins.

This is where things get interesting. If you think you have a good hand, you can yell "Truco!". If your opponent accepts, the turn is going to be worth 3 points. If he declines, you will get 1 point. Or, your opponent can yell back, "Six!". If you accept, the turn will be worth 6 points, if you decline, he will win 3 points. You can yell back "Nine", and he can yell "Twelve", if you wanna go that far.

This is the best I can do to explain it for now. I played this game every day in 2010-2013, so I would say it's pretty good. Maybe not. Have fun!
