Description
LARGE BRITISH PADDLE TUG "CAMBRIDGE" 1866

(Fictional)
Paddling around in ports, rivers, open seas, and wherever else a tugboat is needed, the Cambridge, a seagoing paddlewheel tugboat built in the 1860's, towed around anything from barges to broken-down ocean liners. With its large size, massive coal bunkers, and immense power, it was the ideal choice for anything requiring towing around across oceans and anywhere else far away. It did however, have a rather high coal consumption due to its somewhat unusual choice of boiler design. It helped to pick up survivors from the sinking PS [REDACTED] in the river Thames in the late 1890's, but would herself sink only a few months later after striking an uncharted rock while in heavy fog.

HOW TO START

1: Turn the damper all the way up
2: Light boiler
3: Turn on the water injector
4: Repeat on all 3 boilers
5: Once steam pressure is up, you should be good to go

SINK SWITCHES

The sink switches are located in the Captains cabin in the deckhouse, as a keypad on the table.
1: A hole opens up in the keel and the ship goes down by the bow.
2: The ship goes down by the stern.
The boilers are set to explode with both sink switches, but requires weapons enabled to work. (the actual main sinking doesn't)
Stopping the boat when activating the switches is highly recommended.

EXTRA NOTES

-Paddle steamers typically don't like waves very much, so it rocks violently a lot in relatively calm waters.
-It pretty much can't handle maximum waves at all.
-Speed is directly linked to steam pressure, so the higher the pressure, the faster you'll go.
-You are able to steer the boat using the engines (turning the paddles in opposite directions) using the left and right arrow keys.
-Can be run on low physics setting.

huh, yeah that can occasionally happen with paddle steamers, but I don't recall ever having that happen to me on Cambridge. Not really much I'd be able to do about it anyways without significantly modifying the paddle wheels/paddle boxes, so I guess just make sure not to go pedal to the metal and you should be alright.

I've noticed a problem with paddles recently. they seem likely to move into the paddle housing and destroy not only the ship but also my fps gets obliterated. Love your ships though!:steamhappy:
also the pressure only goes up when the temp reaches 100 so wait until then
Message for people with no boiler pressure: I found that it only makes pressure when you close the boiler doors and wait a bit

Recent updates. Will have everything back up and running once the "dust settles" and a potential proper steam engine fix is out

So, for me the boiler in the bow of the ship will not produce pressure, is anyone else having that issue?

I'll get it back up and running once steam engines are properly fixed, the hotfix unfortunately didn't really help much
