Yes, this is exactly what you were looking for!

Setup guide - https://youtu.be/pe3mDV7VbaU

This script manages and maintains the sub's dive depth. The setting is still complicated, but in the video guide I have explained everything in detail.

I might do a text version of the guide a bit later. I will also be posting the sub from this video in the workshop soon.

The script knows how to sink, float and hang by controlling the ballast and bulkheads. There is a depth calibration option, status control and the best part is entering the desired depth manually and being able to adjust the accuracy. The required information can be displayed on a separate display.

If you want to support me with a coin, here is the Ko-fi link:

Many thanks for using my scripts and blueprints.
Have a good day. And if anything, you can always ask questions in the comments.

@Kaedys The submarine is finished

I would love for people to make blueprint that has this script in it, I don't care if it isn't "complete" as like Kaedys says I tend to change stuff for what I want (which sometimes causes more problems than it is worth), as I'm no good as designing something myself either.
Kaedys 30 jul, 2023 @ 9:31
Ya, for sure, I usually rip apart the inside of most workshop builds and rebuild them to my taste (and mod set) anyway. I'd just clearly note in the description that the interior is as-yet unfinished, so peeps don't come into the comments with "the interior feels a bit bare".

Mostly, I'm just terrible at coming up with good-looking designs myself, so using workshop stuff as a "shell" to wrap my hardware in, and it structure my modifications, does wonders.

@Kaedys Yeah, I can do that. There are a few problems. I haven't finished the interior design and I don't have time to work it out in detail, as well as add drawings of different torpedoes and customize the system, although I have the space and even welders to do it. If you, as an average user, are satisfied that there is a bunch of free space in the sub, I can finish the important details and publish it.

Any chance you could publish that sweet-looking sub as a blueprint?

Great work, can't wait to try it out in my water world!

@longranger_15 Just separate the collectors/connectors from the main conveyor system. Without ballast control, the sub will be very unstable. 100% of the time, if you're also mining at that point.

can i use this on a miner im trying to make as a sub that doesnt have collectors?

@Nighthunter Hi, I went to your world, put a programmable block on the sub with the latest version of the script and remote control. In your case, everything is fine, the sub works as it should, the script does not issue exceptions. The only thing is that you have something weird with the connectors, they don't throw ice when they should. This is the first time I've seen this. There is no precedent for such an error in the script. Maybe you have a problem with some mods or it's a one-time thing. You have a very nice sub, it's well designed and very compact, but I would recommend connecting all the connectors and collectors with one conveyor system, and also use more space for bulkhead compartments, because the sub barely moves when it needs to.
