High-rise residential building (98 m) with 26 floors plus technical floor. On the ground floor and first floor are the building development as well as offices and trade. The other floors are characterized by living. The balconies, which are provided with blue facade elements, are striking. There are also yellow internal roller blinds on the residential floors and external yellow blinds on the ground floor.

The building is inspired by projects from Berlin and Düsseldorf. However, its design represents its own interpretation. I was looking for a plausible architectural and urban planning solution at a location in my city project between the canal and the railway embankment in a densely built-up Wilhelminian area. In the course of dealing with the cited location, the idea came up of constructing a high-rise residential building with a hotel building at the quite attractive residential location. The property can be roughly described as being trapezoidal along a curving canal edge.

The curved edge of the canal and the non-orthogonal movement dynamics of water inspired me to work with rounded corners on facade elements. The yellow of the blinds quotes the desire for light and sun associated with living and balcony use as well as the height of the building. The blue of the facade elements evokes the water of the canal.
It is published as a small set with a hotel that corresponds in shape and design. Due to the unusual number of round elements, the absolute tris value is slightly higher than that of many comparable high-rise buildings in the workshop.

The effort is estimated at 25-30 hours. Finding and cropping photos for the illumination is always associated with a relatively high expenditure of time.
