Hello everyone,
welcome to this mod page.

Formal information
Please make sure to read the following mod description and the informations below before you ask questions or request updates etc.
If you like the mod you are welcome to press the "thumbs up" button or leave your feedback in the comments.
Even if you don't like the mod you are welcome to give your constructive feedback.

Please only ask for updates, when the mod is not working anymore or causing issues - not every game update requires a mod update!

Description
This mod is my attempt to overhaul the factions of Estalia and New World Colonies.
I had a huge issue with the way it is done in vanilla game so I decided to do it myself because the historical counterparts (Spain, New Spain and Portugal) are way more interresting than just to be "Empire copies".

Estalia and the New World Colonies are added as new playable factions in the campaign (listed under Empire). Both with custom unique faction leaders.
Nearly every aspect is overhauled: the buildings, agents (heros), technologies and units.
Speaking of which there is a complete new unit-roster and kind of battle mechanic for the Estalians.

There are also a few new heroes like the Priestess of Myrmidia, the Templar of Myrmidia, the Diestro and the Inquisitor aswell as new variations of mages.

Important stuff
-> be warned, the beastmen factions "Harbinger of Disaster" (Malagor) and "Warherd of the Shadowgave" (Morghur Herd) starting confederated when playing as Estalia.

-> some of the starting settlements have NO healed garrison, thats on PURPOSE and NOT A BUG

-> it is recommend to set your unit details to ultra in order to show the full pontential of the variations
-->sometimes there is a bug were settings below ultra will lead to a game crash!

-> Missions and dilemmas does only trigger for human controlled Estalia and NWC

-> be warned that story techs that deals with Estalia (Estalia -> NWC) or NWC (NWC -> Estalia) might not work properly in MP (military alliance and confederation)

-> the mod itself is REQUIREMENTLESS!

Victory Conditions Overhaul -> required for custom victory conditions

Mixu's Unlocker - MIXER -> required if you want to actually play Estalia in campaign

Be informed that after every major game update Mixu's Unlocker has also be updated.
During that period of time this mod might not work or not work as intended!

Submods & Translation
You will find a list with the links here . I will update this list as soon as I get or found the links.

Personally I will NOT create any submods as my focus lies on my own projects.
So let me state it as clear as possible: as long as you keep this mod as requirement you are allowed to do nearly anything - of course nothing against the EULA....after you're done you can send me the link and I will put it in the discussion page.
In any case it is recommend to inform me first before you do anything - its not just more polite but there might be things I already have on my own list of improvements.

Cataph's Southern Realms:
He did a great job here but it's not how I see Estalia - just subjective!
So in terms of our both mods there is no compatibility.
If anyone decides to make a compatibility submod you are allowed to do so from my side BUT don't just take my models and add them for Cataph's units!
So to any submodder who decides to make a compatibility mod: it's either my Estalia as whole or nothing.
It took many days and weeks to come up with and test this concept, so please respect and accept my request.

Mods that alter the vanilla game are not compatible with overhaul mods on its own.

I've already tried something like this when I was trying to figure out what's compatible with Lost World and what's not. Estalia Cataph works more or less fine in this regard, but visual problems start after connecting this mod. I don't know why.

Now I'll try to look at the conditions of the bend on a clean game

The VCO are one thing, but for Lost World etc. I would suggest trying the mods independent from each other. I don't know exactly for Cataph's mod, but since his Estalia is NOT vanilla this might lead to the issue you described...

Also, what compatibility mod are you refreing too? For Cataph's TEB?
If yes, then first try everything without Cataph and the comp. mod.
