Bundeswehr GTK Boxer
Light Armored Vehicle

History
The Boxer was first designed in 1998, it finished it's design phase in 2009. It started production in 2009 aswell. There has been 500+ built, the number of Boxers being built is uprising. The boxer was designed by ARTEC GmbH, a joint venture of Krauss-Maffei Wegmann, Which is a German company that is tasked with design and production of many armored vehicles, tanks, and hand held weapons. The boxer is used by many Countries, such as Australia: Australian Army, Germany: German Army (Heer), Lithuania: Lith Land Force, and Netherlands: RNF. Future Operators include Ukrain, Algeria, and the UK. The Boxer LAV replaced the Wiesel weapon carrier, and became one of the main fighting vehicles in the German Heer.

Armament: Depends on Configuration (95mm Heavy Autocannon, for Vehicle defense.)

Operational range: 1,100 km (684 Miles)

Required Crew: Varies by role. APC configuration - 3+ maximum of 8.

Produced 2009-present
