Erin's Valheim Creatures

Description

A collection of Valheim animals I felt would find a place at home in Rimworld. Lox to carry your goods, Valboar to provide meat, Frostwolves to protect your colony, and more.

Beware, Frostwolves have a special hunting event; you will want to take them out before they tear apart every animal on the map.

More may be added in the future, however I will consider this mod complete as of release. You're safe from the Deathsquitos... For now. :)

  • Why?
    - Why not. <3

  • Where do they spawn??
    - Most of the animals spawn in temperate climates, including arid and sometimes boreal, however Frostwolves are limited to just the colder biomes.

    - That's up to them.

Today's CE update added an integrated patch for this.
Would be cool to see the Valheim bosses added the game. Maybe an idea for a separate mod

@DAOWAce - Yeahhh the thing with the Lox is... Very annoying, and it's why I dislike how Tynan made that system. I might have to just take out their ability to attack.

Neck are designed to just "be there." Hence no pen.

The scaled hide... wat. I swear I did a description, but apparently not?? I'll fix it when I get a moment.

Bit of a conundrum with the Lox.

They can be trained to attack, and follow the trainer during work/draft, but are herd animals so they have to be confined to a pen. They don't come out of the pen to follow orders, and if they're unpenned they'll wander away. Catch 22.

The Neck cannot be made to do anything (training wise), but it's not a pen animal. Pretty much functions like a pre 1.3 animal.

Can't comment on Valboar, only one I haven't tamed yet.

Also, Scaled Hide is still "tbd" for its description.

Other than that, this is a superbly done animal mod. Surprising how well they fit into the game, and with the HC animal reskins mod I'm using.
