Live Munitions

Description
Out of artillery shells? Barely enough food left for your soldiers, nevermind for the over-crowded nursery? Enemies banging at the gates?
Solve all of these problems and more with Live Munitions!

This mod allows your colonists to track down the nearest baby and stuff them into a mortar. Your enemies will surely panic and flee as untold horrors rain down upon them!
Still attached to good old fashioned artillery shells? Speak no more, as we have a variety of new genes you can use to enhance your new munitions factory with the explosions you know and love!


New Genes
Several genes have been added that will cause any bearing pawn to explode upon death - whether launched from a mortar or not. Some may be of questionable utility. As these genes add a large unnatural organ to the colonist, it's only real purpose is to turn a person into a weapon. As such, your colonists will be very unhappy with their new life in the armory.







If you don't have these genes on hand, you can always launch an unaltered shell. The resulting impact will reduce the mood of anyone within 16 tiles by -20 and give them a significant mood penalty. One or two well placed shells can cause your enemies to break rank and fight amongst themselves.

Naturally, not many people will be happy about this process, so the morale hit to your own colony may not be worth the use of such precious ammo.

New buildings are a bit beyond the scope of this mod. It wouldn't take much to adjust this mod to have a size variation that could be assigned to other mod-added mortars, though.
The gene could be a neat idea. I imagine it would turn the pawn into something like that "If humans evolved to survive car crashes" guy.

It would make them miserable and permanently unable to move or do much of anything, but if used in a mortar they would impact more like a cannonball instead of an explosive

Could large mortars be added that launch adults?
Also a gene that allows them to survive the launch even if damaged.
I would love this for my meat colony.
