Description
This character contains major spoilers for OMORI. It is recommend you play the game before reading further or playing this character.

SOMETHING, the looming presence from OMORI, appears in Rivals of Aether.

Many of Something's attacks can inflict AFRAID. While AFRAID, foes take damage while they're too close to SOMETHING, and take more damage from SOMETHING's attacks. Additionally, when SOMETHING hits an AFRAID foe with an attack, it will be AFRAID for longer. Dealing damage to SOMETHING reduces they time they're AFRAID for.

SOMETHING uses its AFRAID status and big hitboxes to wrack up massive damage against its foes while staying just out of reach. The only way to defeat it is to stay far away, avoiding SOMETHING's large attacks, or to face you fears head-on, dealing damage to get rid of your fear.

Moveset:
Jab: SOMETHING take's out OMORI's Shiny Knife. This is rather slow for a jab, but if it hits and AFRAID foe, they take extra damage and knockback.
Dattack: SOMETHING transforms into HELLMARI and surges forward, inflicting AFRAID. SOMETHING will continue moving so long as the button is held down, including off ledge. If this attack hits the foe and you let go of the attack button, the attack will end almost immediately. If you're prepared, this is an excellent combo starter.
Ftilt: Some static appears in front of SOMETHING. When it clears, it reveals one of OMORI's friends.
While the static is present, SOMETHING can control which friend shows up by using the control stick. Forward is AUBREY, who swings her bat. This attack is slower than the others, but is a potent kill move. Down is HERO, who attacks with his spatula, hitting upwards as a combo starter. Up is KEL, who throws his ball in an arc. This projectile serves as a good edgeguarding tool.
Utilt: SOMETHING transforms into its Salli variant. It swings its head, hitting twice and acting as a good combo starter. The first hit has a scooping hitbox, but it isn't as strong as the head hitbox.
Dtilt: SOMETHING transforms into BASIL's SOMETHING, and bites low to the ground. The teeth is a sweetspot that inflicts AFRAID. The rest of the body is a sourspot that launches outwards.

Nair: SOMETHING transforms into its LILI variant. This attack is quick, with a strong early hitbox and a longer lasting weaker hitbox.
Fair: SOMETHING transforms into its DOROTHI variant. It swipes in a large area in front. This attack has high base knockback, but rather low knockback scaling. With its high base knockback and a big hitbox, this is a good tool to prevent foes from coming too close.
Bair: SOMETHING reaches out behind. If it grabs a foe, it engulfs them before spitting them back out, dealing damage and inflicting fear. This is a long-reaching hitbox, but slow and thin. This attack will finish even if you land on the ground.
Uair: SOMETHING lauches a watermelon above itself. Over time, while not using up air, the watermelon will charge up to different forms. It starts as a weak, green watermelon. After 3 seconds, it will turn into the more powerful teal watermelon. After 7 more seconds, it will turn into the devastating BASIL watermelon, which inflicts fear and can kill. If you hit an opponent with any watermelon, it will break, starting you back at the green version.
Dair: SOMETHING transforms into its NANCI variant, biting directly below itself. The bite spikes and inflicts fear, but its legs attack as a weaker sourspot.

All of SOMETHING's strong attacks inflict AFRAID.
FSTRONG: SOMETHING transforms into SOMETHING IN THE DARK, and shoves with its multiple hands in a large area in front. This attack is powerful, with an even stronger sweetpot close to SOMETHING's body.
USTRONG: SOMETHING summons spider legs, and rapidly attacks above itself. It has 8 weak attacks, and then finishing with one last strong one. This attack does a massive amount of damage, but only hits above SOMETHING. If the opponent is on the ground, they'll have plenty of time to punish you for using it carelessly.
DSTRONG: SOMETHING slips underground, as SOMETHING IN THE WATER rises up. The seaweed rises up, hitting 3 times in a huge area. The seaweed appears on both sides of SOMETHING, but won't go offstage.


NSPECIAL:
BABY SPIDER: SOMETHING transforms into SOMETHING IN THE WALLS to summons a BABY SPIDER, which remains in place for a while. If a foe touches it, the spider will deal damage and disappear. It will also disappear if it is hit by an enemy's hitbox. If the spider is close to any AFRAID foes, it will slowly chase after them, giving up if they are able to get far enough away, or they stop being AFRAID. You can only have 2 baby spiders at a time.
The spiders serve as good stage control, but summoning them is slow, and the transformation is large, making it easy to hit.

FSPECIAL:
RED HAND: SOMETHING summons a RED HAND, which moves forward in a straight line. If the RED HAND touches a foe, it will warp them back to where SOMETHING activated the move, and puts the move on cooldown. They will have a brief moment of invincibility after reappearing, so they have a chance to dodge or jump out of the way if SOMETHING is preparing an attack, but its large, long-lasting hitboxes means it can deal with multiple options at once. SOMETHING can also touch its own RED HAND, which deals no damage to it, gives it slightly more invincibility, and doesn't put the move on cooldown. SOMETHING can only have one RED HAND active at a time.

USPECIAL:
SOMETHING SWINGS IN THE WIND: SOMETHING transforms into its true form, and is pulled upwards by a rope. If a foe touches the body, their fear is instantly maximized.
Additionally, while the move is active, the fear aura around SOMETHING deals more damage and increases the amount of time foes are AFRAID for, unlike the normal fear aura.

DSPECIAL:
SOMETHING BEHIND YOU: SOMETHING vanishes, before suddenly reappearing with a hitbox that inflicts AFRAID. If the foe is AFRAID, you can hold the special button down to cause SOMETHING to teleport right behind them. Alternatively, you can tilt your control stick to go in one of 8 directions, or press nothing to remain in place.
Keep in mind that SOMETHING can be attacked after reappearing but before the hitbox appears, and that if you teleport right to a foe, they could parry you.
If SOMETHING reappears on the ground or hits a foe with the attack, it will not go into pratfall. This move has a cooldown.

Taunt:
SOMETHING stares into the camera, and a message is displayed over it's hud. If you're lucky, you might see a familiar face instead...

one really good and wel refrenced character, love to use side special in combination with smash atacks, also just upspecial :WitchSad:

Hm, it's a really cool character but DSTRONG has a tendency to crash if you get hit during the move.

Also, Ricardo64, they did it because they wanted to make something good(I believe-) and they absolutely succeeded.
