Battle Monument, Baltimore

Description
Hello folks,

Feel free to leave a comment and don't forget to upvote, it helps to get more assets.

The Battle Monument, commemorates and honors the soldiers and seaman who gave their lives defending the city in the September 1814 Battle of Baltimore, a pivotal U.S. victory of the War of 1812 with the British fleet of the Royal Navy's bombardment of Fort McHenry. It was during this battle that Francis Scott Key saw the flag raise over Fort McHenry and was the spark of inspiration for the National Anthem. The Battle Monument is located in Battle Monument Square, in Baltimore, Maryland. The monument is designed by Baltimore architect J. Maximilian M. Godefroy and built in 1815–25, is 39 feet (11.9 m) tall. The base of the monument is an Egyptian Revival cenotaph, topped by a Carrara marble statue by Antonio Capellano of a female figure representing the City of Baltimore wearing a crown of victory, holding a laurel wreath in one hand and a ship's rudder in the other.

I optimized the sculptures and reworked the base to lower the amount of tris to reach a reasonable size to make it easy for the game and used textures. The asset is PO friendly, you can up/downsize it for your own liking.

Credits goes to Katie Wolfe for the Photogrammetry of the original.

I don't know if it's my fault, but the asset is not PO friendly, it doesn't evena appear when you convert it to procedurtal object.

What does PO mean?

I fear I may be missing something but you say this is PO friendly; however, it's terrain conforming when I go to place it and it becomes invisible when I convert it to PO. Is there a specific way to get it to become a PO? Or did something change and this no longer works with PO? Beautiful model btw!

@bvnsheechvpter For me, Baltimore is the city of monuments par excellence and has an outstanding architecture that is by far the best in the U.S., despite the fact that it is a dangerous city. In other terms, it's my favorite city. For the details, credits go to Gaseous Strange that he did an excellent work of reconstitution of square. I'm very happy that my work pleased you, and thank you for the kind words.

This is an absolute gem from a childhood favorite little pocket of my city. The attention to detail in the screenshots--the building on the left really does closely resemble the Walter's Art Gallery with those beautiful art deco arches and windows, the stone, down to the bars on the ground-level windows, and even the steel plate decals on the street (I remember the city doing construction on the street and just seeing the Baltimore city busses bounce and rock from how poorly the steel plates were set and how even more poorly the street had broken down before they were doing construction on it lol). I can't tell you how much it means to me how you included the history in the description too. Baltimore has such a reputation of this dingy dangerous city, thank you for being part of sharing the beauty and the importance of it. From the bottom of my Maryland heart, thank you, my friend! <3
