Description
This mod double the effects of the veterancy system at the cost of double experience needed.

Don't forget to put this mod on top of your mod list to make sure it will be active !

Veterancy Melee x2 :
  • +2 (vanilla) --> +4 defense / unit rank
  • +2 (vanilla) --> +4 attack / unit rank
  • Minimum melee hit chance : 15% (vanilla) --> 5% (to give fights more sharpness and defensive units more resilience)
  • Base melee hit chance : 40% (vanilla) --> 45%
  • Defense flank penality (100% = no penality) : 50% (vanilla) --> 75% (same as DEI rule. Less punishing values)
  • Defense rear penality (100% = no penality) : 0% (vanilla) --> 50% (same as DEI rule. Less punishing values)
  • Each unit needs the double experience to reach the higher rank.
  • The Infantry command / Cavalry command bonuses skills from generals are cut (from 2/3/4 to 1/1/1) to prevent recruiting too op units.
  • Missile units remain unchanged.

How to play this mod :
It changes the way to play to a more conservative soldiers cost. Higher Veteran lower tier units can now compete with higher tiers units on melee fights. So it worths the cost to protect your units to reach the +32 attack and +32 defense at rank 8.


Mods compatibility:
  • This mod is designed for vanilla units et campaign rules.
  • Radious : it works well with Radious units and rules. (Since Radious has a base melee hit chance of 55%, the mod will slow the fights a bit.)
  • Para-Bellum : there is a Veterancy Melee x2 Para Bellum version.
  • Divide et Impera : there is a DEI version of this mod.

    If you want more veterancy with Radious, i can make submods to make things much more balanced. Ask me on comments.

But, just like the player, it's twice harder for AI to reach higher level of veterancy for AI too.

All factions. It's a general rule. We can't differentiate between player and AI during modding.
