Its mark!

This is Mark Edward Fischbach. Fischbach was born on an American military base in Honolulu, Hawaii on June 28, 1989. His father had met his mother while stationed in South Korea.

Shortly after Fischbach was born, his father retired from the Army, and his parents moved to Cincinnati, Ohio, where his father found a job as an artist for a publishing company. Fischbach has stated that "one of the things [he misses] most" about living in Cincinnati is playing in the forest behind his home with his brother, Tom, creator of webcomic Twokinds.

After a time, Fischbach's parents began conflicting, and were eventually divorced; according to Fischbach, "my parents fought a lot; and by fought a lot, I mean my Mom fought a lot, and my Dad had to reciprocate." Fischbach has stated that he was not as saddened by the divorce as he was by his father having "caved in."
While attending public school, Fischbach fell off of a set of monkey bars and broke his arm. Fischbach attributes this incident to meeting his first friends in public school, including a boy named Drew, who introduced him to the school's band program.

Fischbach's father later met a woman named Dee, who got on his good side by giving him a PlayStation 2, but who he grew fond of for making his father happy. Fischbach attributes Dee's appearance in his life to enabling him to finish High School and make a large number of friends.

Fischbach temporarily entered into a dedicated relationship, which his biological mother firmly disapproved of, but which was later broken off after he was fired from a temporary position. Fischbach shortly reconciled with his mother.

Fischbach was stricken by a pain in his side shortly thereafter, which progressively grew worse until he woke one day and could no longer bear it; he was admitted to a hospital, where the pain was identified as his appendix being "about the size of a beach ball." He was also informed of a tumorous growth "the size of a fist" in his adrenal gland, which he was told did not have to be removed at the time.

After he was released from the hospital, Fischbach used his tax return to purchase a camera, which he did not often use; he rededicated himself to improving his studies in Biomedical Engineering, and it was around this time that he started a YouTube channel under the name Markiplier.
