This mod deletes the vanilla town maker for the 'Lost Town' you can find in Howler Maze. This allows you to take over the ruined city and use it as your faction's outpost.

In order to take over the Lost Town follow these steps but most importantly...

DO NOT ENABLE THIS RIGHT AWAY

Best to make a backup before trying in case something goes wrong.

1. Travel to the Lost Town and loot everything of value there.

2. Open the in-game editor (Shift + F12) and go to the town placement category.

3. Find 'Lost Town' in the list and delete it.

4. Place any construct that creates an outpost in the centre of the town.

5. Make a Hard Save and close Kenshi

6. Return to the launch menu and now enable this mod: Howler Maze Base

7. Load your save and your outpost should have now claimed ownership of most if not all of the town's buildings.

I find it to be a great base location which makes a lot of sense if you're simply looking to get started with a large base without doing a lot of the planning.
