The Improved Heart (Read Desc)

Description
The Improved Heart model includes an Improved version of the original Heart seen in the Meet the Medic animation released by Valve in 2011. The model was "leaked" through an early SFM beta release that contained assets not intended for public release, such as the ones from Official SFM shorts.

The main features of this mod are:
  • New high quality Textures
  • Improved High-poly model
  • Fixed missing Jigglebones parameters (Original Model had these broken/didn't work)
  • Improved mesh Weights
  • Improved Material settings and parameters
  • Improved and Added new Flex Controllers to help with better animations (New ones are squash_down, stretch_left and stretch_up)
  • Improved and Added new Uber variants Textures with new Materials
  • Added a Heartbeat animation (as a Sequence)
  • Removed unused/redundant Flex Controllers

IMPORTANT INFORMATION / PROBLEMS ABOUT THIS MODEL
  • This being my first model uploaded to the workshop, it might not be perfect. If you encounter any problems, please report it in the comments.
  • Under certain lighting conditions, you might see weird shadows/shading across the mesh of the model. Same problem with the original model.
    To fix this, simply render your Shot with a few Depth of Field samples.
  • The Jigglebone of the main Artery (the Red one) is "flipped" when it comes to one of its rotational axes. So when you move the Heart to the left, the Jigglebone will also tilt to the left instead of the expected opposite. I tried fixing this but could not find a solution/documentation about said problem. If you know how to solve this, please leave a comment or contact me on Steam.
  • To use the Heartbeat animation, make sure you are subscribed to this mod here and read its page description for more information.
  • Due to the detail on the veins, the mesh might look weird in some places (like in the original). I tried to mitigate the issue by smoothing the normals, but at the cost of also having slightly smoother-looking veins.
  • This model has flex decay. If you plan on creating a Poster while one of the flexes is active, make sure to render more than one frame (a few at least) to guarantee the flex is fully enabled, otherwise when you export it, it will only capture the very early state of the flex.
  • If you plan on using an animation that was made in the old model, it is compatible with the new one, but you have to copy and paste each slider animation (due to the different name/functionality) onto the following [new] sliders :
    vein -> veins
    material02 -> REMOVED
    material01 -> REMOVED
    beat03 -> beat3
    beat02 -> beat2
    beat01 -> beat1
    aakvertstretch -> REMOVED
    squash -> squash_right
    aakvertcomp -> REMOVED

Well this is an SFM release, but when working on the model they did work for me, what plugin/addon did you use to import it into Blender?
