Description

Explore and master four distinct archetypes that are balanced to the difficulty of the base game! Play a fully sprited character with animations, brand new card artworks (no AI involved!), a comic for beating the heart as well as custom spell and sound effects!

New Character - The Unchained!
  • 75 draftable cards (76 total)

...now with an optional unlockable booster pack and skin for beating the Heart!

Unique Character Mechanics
Chain: Chain together cards of the same type for powerful effects!
Momentum: Gather momentum and twirl through enemies with swirls that ramp up in intensity!
Crushed Armor: Crush your enemies with the weight of their own armor!
Relay: Absorb large quantities of delayed damage to turn back onto your opponents!

Lore
We wrote a short story about the backstory of our character before he comes to the spire, and you can read it here! [docs.google.com] We also sprinkled some of that story into the card artworks so we hope you check those out more closely!

@lascupa0788 Sorry to hear you are having issues, the multiplayer pack is still not fully released and there are bound to be issues. It's possible it eventually resolves itself, but if it doesn't, feel free to join our Discord and ping us with a screenshot of a log and we can take a look!

Addendum: The reward screen of an elite causes repeated crashing for one player. Assumption would be that a relic is incompatible with existing stably.

Playing with just this, Booster Pack,and Together In Spire, entering a shop caused a CTD for all players. On reload and continue it appears to be fine for now though.

My 2 cents about the mod.
The positive things:
1- I really like the art and the concept of the character, is cool and love he has standing still animation.
2- The art of the cards is awesome aswell, I think this is an important aspect for those hwo are tired of recolored vanilla skins.
3- Spanish localization. Thank you, really apreciate this.
However, as the negative thing, I can not find his mechanics interesting sadly. I have only played a couple runs but the character never felt powerful to me, not saying op, just strong like any base character can feel at some point. Idk, probably didnt get the right cards or relics and I don´t completely understand his strengths but did not look very fun to me.
Just my feedback.

@CronosOnFire I'm not sure exactly what the spanish translation says, but your understanding is correct, although it does have to be an ATTACK chain, not a skill chain. Not sure if that#s included in the card description. Hope this helps!

How does the Kusarigama card work? I'm a bit confused about the description (playing the Spanish translation).

What I'm understanding is that it's only enabled to play if you use it to finish a chain? Whenever I start a chain, I can't play that card for whatever reason. What am I missing?

There are a lot of fun and cool character mods out there on the workshop, and there's no shortage of interesting mechanics at play among them. However, very few of them however feel as polished as this is. Your key words abilities are perfectly thematic to the character, there are multiple design angles genuinely worth building towards, and it is very clear that you are striving to, and largely succeeding at preserving the original game balance along the way.

Excellent mod and lots of fun to play. Thanks for all the hard work.
