Description:
The Douglas DC-4E is a 1:1 Scale Recreation of the experimental airliner. It was meant to be a larger replacement for the DC-3, developed pre World War Two, but never entered production as it was superseded by the Douglas DC-4/C-54 “Skymaster.”

Instructions:
  • Locate the Engineers Panel
  • Flip the Fuel Pumps Switch
  • Flip the four Engine Systems Switches
  • Flip the four Engine Systems Switches
  • Start all engines with the Engine Starter Buttons
  • Locate and switch the Parking Brake Key on the left console
  • Put the propeller collective to full Engine Systems Switches
  • To Taxi I recommend leaving the engine at 0.10 and turning down individual Engine Throttles located on the center console
  • To take off, make sure all engine throttles are max and increase the Engine Throttle to 0.75

@roknmatoz You don't have to use pivots.. The whole point of XML is not to use pivots, right?

@Zachattack227 I didnt want to use slightly pivoted blocks for this plane as more physics objects increase the lag by a lot and i am used to using wedges. In the future i might use that method though!

The best way to do larger (closer to level) angles is to use blocks.
The face of a normal 1x1 wedge is slanted over 45 degrees, so using XML to stretch it across a large distance will definitely cause shading problems. Stormworks thinks the wedge face is still at 45 degrees, when in reality, the shape of the angle is closer to being level.

Thank you for the comments on it @Zachattack227 ill see what I can do about the comments you made. I did choose for the wings to be xml wedges to get as close as I could to the 1:1 scale as possible. Unfortunately it does shade badly but I prioritized accuracy over lighting glitches.
