Oh boi, this is a good one. This is a commission I took that kinda started as a joke/meme, but I saw the potential here and tried to make it work.

This is a Wood Network using the Chemfuel Expanded Mod from VE. It can transport wood through wood pipes to buildings that require wood as fuel. It doesn't refine wood into something else or vice versa, only transports it. You require building all the structures in the mod for the network to work. Funny enough, one building also requires wood as fuel, and most buildings require wood too.

I want this mod to be used in medieval playthroughs, since nothing in this mod requires or produces electricity:)















[1] The Wood Pulper, since it doesn't actually refine anything, actually does nothing but serve as a bridge from the Wood Drain to the pipes and the Wood Tank. Also works for the immersion effect.

[2] The Wood Pulper has some detailed info in its info card, it really means nothing and it's completely ignorable.


None that I'm aware of at the moment.


Q: Save to add mid-game?
A: Yes.

Q: Save to remove?
A: Not sure, but I don't recommend it.

Q: CE?
A: Haven't tested with it, but I don't see why it shouldn't work.

Compatibility for Medieval Overhaul? I mean, this mod seems great at sprinkling in unique medieval futurism.

So... Uh sorry the idea of this mod confused me there for a sec. So uh is there anyway to use this with a bio-refiner to automate making chemfual?

Also, here's an idea: an electric version (if you are willing to add features). Basically, the electric one doesn't need wood as fuel, allowing it to be more efficient!

And, maybe an advanced one that the hoper does store 1 stack of wood, and can pull from shelves! Or, just make an advanced one that can pull from stacks. That way, you can do lots of hauling, then be done for a while!

I think theres a bug or some weird issue with this mod, or maybe pipe networks in general. When i have a network set up, the wood in the tank will always stay at 1499.400 or some other decimal out of 1500. i have a bank of wood fueled generators linked up to them, and theres wood in the wood drains adjacent too the wood hoppers, but the wood fueled generators keep running forever, wood in the tank never goes down, and wood is never consummed from the wood drains next to the wood pulper.
