Rocket ekranoplan project 903 "Lun"

Soviet impact ekranoplan-missile carrier of project 903, developed at the Central Design Bureau for the SPK named after. R. E. Alekseev under the direction of V. N. Kirillovs. It was created at the Volga pilot plant and is the only fully built project 903 ship out of eight planned.
The ekranoplan is intended for the use of surface ships with a displacement of up to 20,000 tons from the composition of ship strike groups, landing formations, convoys and single ships, both displacement and hydrofoil and air cushion, outside the countermeasures (including AWACS) of the source. Due to its relatively high speed (for surface and low-altitude carriers) and invisibility of movement for shipborne radars, the Lun ekranoplan can be suitable for measuring missile launch measurements.
