back once again to teach ya how to change your trashcan icon, so you really can customize your desktop!

Here's an exsample in action, the resting UFO is the empty trashcan sprite
and the flying UFO is the not empty one

i Started out making a Set of Icons one for the different icons the trashcan can have

[a small pixelart collection of icons]

having something like this is good!

otherwise i'll show you in text form here!

First lets go to our settings

[the windows 10 settings page]

in there we need to into Theme

[the windows 10 theme page]

and in Theme in the sidebar with related settings theres Desktop Icon Settings click on it and it should show this

in there you can choose a Full trashcan icon and an Empty trashcan icon

but you will probably notice it doesnt update when clearing the trashcan unless you refresh your desktop

for it to update we need to go into the register editor (dw this is quite simple)

in there we need to go to
Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\CLSID\645FF040. . .


1. [the filepath to the trashcan icon, inside the register editor]

it should look something like this! ^

we just need to a simple little edit, and that is to put a ",0" ,0 and we need to put that on all the filepaths in there

[the filepath for the images used for the trashcan icon, with a comma at the end]

then you should be done! and it should look something like this
