Description
Advanced Equipment - v0.5.3 released on 2023-08-05
Advanced Equipment is a mod for Arma 3, that is still under development. I wanted to create a mod, that allows you to really use a lot of the vanilla equipment like laptops and lamps.

This project is entirely open-source and all contributions are welcome. Feel free to maintain your own custom version, as long as the changes you make are open to the public in accordance with the (APL-SA[www.bistudio.com]).

Features
- Power Management (Power Consumption, Batteries, Sun Collectors, Generators, Connections)
- Interaction (Turn On/Off/Standby/Adjust/Use things like Laptops and Lamps, Put in Inventory)
- armaOS (Unique Terminal-like interface for computers; multiple designs, User Management)
- Filesystem Managment (Files, Folders and Programs on Computers and USB-Sticks, incl. Permissions)
- Network Management (only basics implemented yet)
- Logistics (Fold and unfold objects, move them around, put them into vehicles)
- 3DEN Modules (Easy Mission Making by adding Connections, Files, Directories, Users, Commands and Games)
- Zeus Support (Modules, Connections, Settings, Functions)
- "UI on texture" for armaOS computers (every player sees the live screen)
- Localization (English, German, French, Italian, Russian, Simplified Chinese)

Installation
Download the latest versions of Advanced Equipment, CBA_A3 and ACE. Unpack these mods in your Arma 3 and Arma 3 server installation folders. Simply launch Arma 3 with
-mod=@CBA_A3;@ace;@AE3

Known Issues
- This mod is still under development and isn't recommended for productive use right now.

Currently no plans to do that but this can be done by you with your own mod and asset config.

Split color would refer to one side emits red one side emits green.

I see the option now it never occurred to me to right click and add a connection from a lamp to a power source.

Perhaps a the 'custom editor connections' slide could show this off instead of just showing a red line?

Maybe an addition of an in game field manual entry would help.

Groovy mod, I've been using it to force players to watch power consumption during horror themed missions.:steamthumbsup:

@Shy you mean the virtual cable length? You could create the connections in Eden Editor and not in-game. The length of the cables does not apply there. Or you could mod our mod and change the cable length value.

@Mattifine there is currently a new feature in the dev branch that makes all keyboard layouts obsolete. When published all language dependent keyboards will work just fine.

Is there a plan to support different keyboards? I have a Nordic keyboard and none of the special characters are in the right place, it's extremaly annoying.
