Description
Adds the Thrall trait, which makes people like vampires. Thralls will get a mood and opinion buff from being fed on. Thrall is an uncommon trait, but there is also a new gene that forces the Thrall trait, allowing you to genengineer vampire thralls. Amazing!

This is basically a slightly more interesting version of my quick and dirty NoBloodfeedPenalty mod ( https://steamproxy.net/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2883131063 ). This one is less quick, but just as dirty. Incidentally, if you apply both mods then feeding on a Thrall will give them a mood and opinion bonus, but feeding on another person remains entirely neutral.

Thralls also get an opinion bonus toward Sanguophages.

For a more nuanced (and potentially less cruel) option, I have just found the Sanguophage Feed Relationship mod ( https://steamproxy.net/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2884586228&searchtext=vampire ). They should be compatible.

Update 07/27/2023:
- Added Rince's retexture for the gene. Thank you Rince!

Update on 11/12/2022:
- Sanguophages in the colony will autonomously feed on colony Thralls. This will only happen if the Thrall is available and feeding on them won't be dangerous. Still working on a toggle for a particular Thrall to allow/disallow Bloodfeeders from autonomously feeding on them.

did you manage to make an enthrall ability?

Awesome! :-) I was planning on approximating thralldom in my next vampire campaign with the Mindbreak psycast from Vanilla Psycasts Expanded, but your approach feels more thematic overall (although I reserve the option to combine both for the restlessness and mood buffs). Anyway, thanks for sharing this mod as it is already :-).

@Sumatris That would be pretty cool, I will look into that. It should be doable using the Implant Xenogerm ability as a base

Could we maybe get an active sanguophage ability with a cooldown that lets them turn a target into a thrall? I think that would make a good fit both thematically and mechanically.

did not noitce that, thanks!

@WarKittyKat Apologies for that! I think the best way to handle that would be for me to make an update that checks for that mod and then obeys those rules.

While we wait for the individual toggle, would there be a way to turn off autofeeding on thralls in general? It looks like if this mod and sanguophage feed relationships are both installed, this mod's autofeed on thralls overrides the other mod's individual toggles. It came up for me because I have a pawn that's brain damaged, and feeding on her kills her from the consciousness reduction. But I can't seem to get my bloodfeeders to not go for her if they're nearby.

@Christophe Ben'wah if you're also using Ideology, I did make a Ritual utilizing my Custom Ritual Framework mod that lets you perform a Ritual to turn a pawn into a thrall: https://steamproxy.net/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2883966406

This fits for running a medieval, dark magic style playthrough. But for those who don't have Ideology, I suppose there could be an ability given to Sanguophages that lets them enthrall someone. That should be doable anyway

excuse me, i KNOW there isn't a way right now, i meant to say is it possible to implement that into the mod
Pengus 2 Dec, 2023 @ 5:52pm
for medieval playthroughs that don't utilize the geneengineering of normal runs, is there a way to make a pawn a thrall? similar to making one a sanguophage via implantation?
