Auxiliary Retinues

Description
What is it?
-Allows for the creation of auxiliary retinues.
-Think of them as 'regional retinues'.
-Expand your influence, expand your unit roster.

What are the requirements?
-Cannot be Nomadic government type.
-Cannot be from a culture which allows the original retinue the auxiliary is based on.
-Must have level 4 Military Organisation technology.
-Must have a permanent rank of either King or Emperor.
-Any vassal or any tributary must be located in the corresponding world region (a single barony will do).

Holy Orders?
-A Holy Order retinue becomes available once that Holy Order has been created.
-Characters must control a Holy Site of their religion or a province in the Levant in the case of Muslims/Christians once crusades/jihads have unlocked.
-Also available for Pagans after their Reformation.

I also recommend
-The Good Old Retinues mod [https://steamproxy.net/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=692946989] because that's how I balanced the sizes. Retinues will be twice their vanilla size and price, but less likely to be deleted on defeat. Good mod.

@MSTVD They'll show up in the same list as the regular retinues. If you're not seeing them, check again that you fit all the requirements.

This mod only expands the existing retinue list with availability dependent on realm location and global events (in the case of great holy wars). I'll also point out that it's for vanilla maps only because that's how it codes for realm location.

is it a separate button from regular retinues and levies?

@MSTVD You can recruit retinues through the military tab as long as you have the LoR dlc.

And as long as you fit the requirements stated in the description above, recruitment is exactly the same as vanilla retinues.

how does this work? where would i recruit them?

@capdaddy I’ll definitely use this in all my future play through a because I always hate just making everything one culture, I like keeping different cultures alive so it makes the game seem more alive. This will help with that

@davethelad29 Yeah, I've played a lot of TW:R2 and this mod was inspired by the Roman auxiliary units :P

@capadaddy I love that idea because in the Total War series there are certain units you can only get through occupying a certain region. Hungary for example in TW:E grants access to a limited hungarian troop which you can use as a small elite force. It makes sense that a large empire would take advantage of a cultural specialty

@davidthelad29 Yep, that's basically the idea. Though a single barony will suffice in most cases.

so this allows for cultural retinues outside of your culture so long as a Provence in the region where they'd be found is under your direct or indirect (through tributary) control?

@Comiclove Yeah, add the mod at any time :)
