2022 HeroForge Ultimate Collection: BLACKLACE EDITION (2024 Platinum Edition)

Descriere
If you like what you see and wish to tip me, send me a PM and I'll give you an email to throw me a HeroForge gift card. Sorry for the extra step but a) no one has used my patreon and b) the link freaks Steam out every time I update. Just not worth the hassle.

Please take a moment to like, favorite and/or share this mod to make it easier for others to find. And please consider staying subscribed to both the mod and this thread, so you don't miss any future additions. This mod will be the home for ALL future Hero Forge-based figures I release so the only way you'll know if something new comes out is to subscribe to thread to receive notification of updates in the comments.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
What makes this the "ultimate" Hero Forge collection? For starters, 2022 isn't a date, it's a figure count! Just kidding. There aren't 2022 figures... it's more like 2200! And counting.

You get over 1500 "finished" figures. Some have been culled from my favorites across other workshops, particularly my own Pulp and Wild West and MadMark's Three Musketeers, Robin Hood, Samurai, and American Revolution figures. But others have never before been seen. From Conan to Camelot to Flash Gordon to James Bond to Army of Darkness to Comics, this mod is chock full of genres, including some good old fashioned AD&D / 5E / Pathfinder stuff for the traditional crowd (including some of the best of the Hero Forge official monthly packs).

Worried about organization? Don't be. Thanks to a modified version of xStartoy & Groule's tool, type any tag from the notebook, and your very own copy of the Necronomicon Ex Mortis will spit out the right figures, ready for you to unlock and use as you see fit. You can find figures by name, collection, or genre.

But wait, there's more! You get over 500 additional "base" figures and nearly 1000 parts and accessories, all easily organized and searchable courtesy of a modified version of Spectrumw's directory tool. Need a Kobold but want him to have a sword instead of a spear? Presto-changeo, no problem, just grab one of the Kobold bases, grab a loose sword from the parts directory, and you've got a brand new figure, tailored to exactly what you wanted.

That's the beauty of BLACKLACE, a mnemonic for a simple set of steps to make about any figure you can imagine. With the number of bases and interchangeable parts, you can literally make millions of figures. And with nearly 1000 parts and accessories, you can buy your own HeroForge figures in "base" settings and fix them in post. Can't decide if your figure should have a beard or a goatee? Why decide? Buy a clean shaven figure and add each option, then use create states to quickly give your creation exactly the right facial hair for that day.

How is this possible? Just a little magic in Blender and Unity. In fact, because I couldn't help myself, you'll get some additional goodies like horses and swords made of pure fire or herforge jetpacks and welding torches with particle effect options.

And just because I like to have things in one place, you'll also get over 100 of my animated Boot Hill figures and even some complete odds and ends like a few non-Hero Forge figures that blend in alright with their style.

Want to be a contributor? Provide 50+ approved figures and you can be added to BLACKLACE with contributor status. For now, that's Mark as I know I've used at least that many of his (with permission).

Want credit for something less than 50 figures? Absolutely! Just PM me and let me know which figures are yours (or even just that your figures were included) and I'll add a credit listing here.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Thanks to:
Spectrumw, xStartoy, and Groule, without whose base code, this project couldn't have happened

MrStump because the Memory Bag 2.0 is the root of all of these efforts, I suspect. It's certainly helped me learn to code in Lua.

Baryonyx for - The raptors, the Simcas, the Citroens, the army truck and the Jeep

DM Tim for the recent sci-fi figures.

DrakEmono for the Lizardmen

Archaeopteryx for the Romans/Ancients

Mr Always Wants to Be Hunted for some random figures and parts

Hughtotim for Civilians

Zeuk for Star Trek/Sci Fi Figures

Sujet for Aliens

Bunions for Vikings and a badger. "Badgers?! We don't need no stinkin' badgers!" Except we did. :)

Saught for non-Hero Forge assets

Plat for the Large Semicircle Table

All those I've no doubt missed. No slights were intended, I simply collected figures for a long time without tracking from where. PM me and we'll get the credits fixed accordingly.

HUGE thanks to khaaarl for the awesome script, that I believe has done it's job, finding 16 different corrupt json files including some private transfers.

I have fixed Blacklace on my end. I would appreciate it if someone could verify it works on their end. I've added the Malicious Code detector as a transparent object, just in case this virus foolishness returns. :)

Also, I just put the python cleaning script onto github so it'll look more legit than just google docs. "tts-save-game-script-cleaner" under user "khaaarl".

I thought I had it working again but the malicious code detector you had linked to in the python script just alerted so obviously not. :)

Hoping the python script won't be a problem. I should have python still installed from my old Freedom Force modding days. I think...

I'm planning to give it a shot, just need to find an hour of uninterrupted time so I can concentrate and make sure I do it right. :) Will DM you if I get stuck and/or post here if I think it's fixed but need y'all to tell me if it functions on your end.

The cube is not a quick fix sadly. The python code I tried to make as straightforward as possible -- just have python installed, and double-click on my python script. (but you could have permissions issues on your computer that doesn't let you just run random stuff from the internet so that could be a complication)

i tried adding the CleanerBlock (basic) and while it got rid of the offending code, it also broke all three tools, and now I get errors when I try to recreate them. I'll work on it s time permits after work/on weekends but may be a while before this works.

Khaaarl, thanks for the python code. I'll check it out as well, was just hoping the cube was a quick fix

it still is broken, but Khaaarl is correct, when i use CleanerBlock (basic) it works again

Heya, it looks like this mod currently carries the obnoxious "tcejbo gninwapS" pseudo-virus. I'm sending a friend request so we can talk in DMs about a fix. Google that bizarre phrase if you're curious. Over in 40k's corner of TTS we were battling this thing a while ago.

Please let me know if it's any better now @mat934. SpectrumW's tool is adding code at the end of the script no matter what I do. It crashes if the code gets added but seems to work if it doesn't. I can't stop it from adding the code, but I added a comment symbol and that seems to be tricking it. I'm sure that's not a proper fix but it's 3000+ lines of someone else's code so probably best I can do.

Couple of other notes: 1) the search function isn't great as it only goes so many levels deep; I recommend bundling or 2) you can always use the back up bags at the tops. They're just simple nested begs - a pain compared to navigating the directory but better than trying to search a 2000 item bag,

the search function inst working for me i am having to open the bags which crash tts as it to big

New stuff posted, Rawhide, Zorro, Universal Monsters, Enter the Dragon, The Octagon, etc. etc.

No plans to update in the near future as my HF subscription expires in November and I don't plan to renew. The mod is also growing a bit big - took a long time to get the latest couple of hundred figures sorted and to re-do SpectrumW's tools with the new content. So I think this will be it for 2024, if not beyond. :)
