How-To - In 10 Steps!
1. Start the game and complete the tutorial. Be sure to skip every popup.

2. Since skipping everything, you don't know how to change the casting style. You need help.

3. Open the forums and hit that caps-lock. You will never need to turn it off after this point.

4. Make sure you blame the game with no context. Using the word 'cast' is not allowed here. The use of bad language is heavily encouraged.

5. The first few people that try to decipher what you mean are only trolls. Berate them and throw a vast array of insults at them. The more offensive the better.

6. When one of these trolls accidentally tells you the magical key to change the casting style, mark your own most offensive comment as the answer to your question. Never thank the trolls.

7. Now you can play The Fisherman as a god among men after your heroic display in the community forums. Sit back and be sure to question anyone' tactics in the same location as you. You MUST correct these people. Your skills are far superior.

8. Whenever ANYONE catches larger fish than you, it is important you blame the mechanics of the game, whilst letting everyone know that your F2P account is max level.

9. As you are not catching with your divine prowess, the game is clearly broken. It is time once again to head to the forums. Never search the forums, your questions are unique. At this point you need to make a new thread, without delay. (I hope your caps key is still on!). You have to create a thread demanding to know when all the DLC will be released, blaming Nacon, FP LLC and all the community. Aggressively respond to every single reply, even if they agree with you (damn sheep!), YOUR opinion is what matters, and must be heard. The industry is also ganging up on you as an individual, never forget that!

10. For continued and prolonged enjoyment of every mechanic the game has to offer, jump back to point 3 every time something happens.

10-b. Thanks to Keira for pointing this out in the comments! As I missed this out I am clearly not a true veteran - sorry folks! This is an important one. It is absolutely vital you register in all fishing competitions. Take part in them lazily and even miss a few, and be sure to record other players catching more than you. They are cheating to win the competitions and have to be exposed. It is impossible their skill exceeds your own. Let them know in the in-game chat they are cheating in-case they don't know yet, and spend more time and effort using the in-game chat than fishing. Before the competition ends, as your own timer expires, ALT-F4 out of the game, and head straight to the forums with your new-found bloodlust and hunger for vengeance (double check your caps lock!). Post all the names, handles and videos in the forum to expose these cheaters. When you are confronted by other pros in the forum, you have to accuse them of cheating as well - that's just how it is, I do not make the rules. You do not need to know their in-game handles or if they even play the game. You are righteous. They must be taken down! Take aim at their mothers and make remarks on their upbringing and low status in society.

Great tips, laughed heartily ;) The saddest thing is that the described characters are present in all games, from hunting and fishing to hardcore racing and shooters.
