If you didn't know, you can have friendly Deathclaws guard your settlements. Gotta kill a Yao Guai first, then build the Deathclaw trap. Don't forget the emitter that keeps them calm. It always needs to be powered or it'll rampage. They provide I think 50 defense to a Settlement.
