The Socialist Federation of the Rivers

Description
The Socialist Federation of the Rivers

4 Regions demanding 4 unique challenges and variation with only 3 boarder crossings to each coalition, a small, medium and Large. However with ample access to the sea from the majority of the map and proper management of the rivers it is easy to overcome the limitations of road and rail access. This map aims to provide intriguing game play no matter the stage of the game and promote cross map logistics of Road, Rail and Water. It is also a goal of providing a good balance between realistic map feel and more game play focused maps no matter the play level, Easy or Realistic.

Greetings Comrade!

Comrade, you have been given full leadership of the new state to develop and stabilise. Build a glorious new Republic here show the West the power of our determination and resourcefulness.

The Socialist Federation of the Rivers, colloquially known as "The Riverlands" is a recently added Socialist State member of the Eastern Bloc. Strategically position between Western Powers and the Black Baltic sea coastline this area has come to the attention of all the Eastern Bloc due to promising reports of large deposits of important resources. The area is sparsely populated and criminally underdeveloped but has a strong potential to become a strong member of our Unions.

The Region has four distinct areas within it's boarders.

The Vaskra Muskeg - This region contains large flat lands with one of the two Rivers passing through it as well as the largest Boarder Crossing to the Easter Members. However a high water table means building here is not to be considered unless one spends the time and resources to fill in the Muskeg to create viable land, but a small town could work here. It should also be noted that large traces of Oil have been discovered within this region and should be taken advantage of.

The Foot Hills - This region makes up the majority of the map and contains two large lakes, Two medium boarder crossing, one West, one East. Large amounts of Coal, Iron, and Bauxite have been found here along with traces of Uranium. Building her may prove challenging due too lack of available space but worth the endeavour due to high resource yields.

The Mountain Valley - This region only contains a Pair of small boarder crossings, once a single crossing before the new boarders where drawn out. This region gives a decent area for building and largest amounts of resources. However the logistics of the region make it tough to bring in supplies and it is recommended to build the proper infrastructure to take advantage of this area.

The Coastal Region - Perhaps the most promising area for building with easy access to the water and ample area for a proud capital. This region also shows the lowest concentration of resources along with no easy boarder crossings. So it will be a project to reach this region but may still provide a valuable location for a large harbour for import/export through the sea.

Do not forget to take advantage of the deep water ways that split this land. Good luck Comrade, Lenin will be watching!

Changelog

  • CHANGE Boarder around map to better follow natural typography
  • Re-balanced Resources (adding more near the larger boarder crossings for better starts)
  • Added Islands
  • added Easter Eggs
  • Adjusted boarder post regions for better building.

Yes sadly it's a Z-fighting issue with the water level and terrain. I tried a myriad of different options to try and fix it, however the only thing that really fixes it is deepening all the pools and that personally don't think fits the swampy look I was trying to achieve. If you have any suggestions on a solution, feel free to comment it. Thanks.

Man it would've been an amazing map... if the small shallow lakes weren't flickering on the beaches holy... it's bad on my eyes.
