Flanked by three axes, this charming house, accessible from rue du Docteur Audouin or impasse Prévost, lets us appreciate its astonishing configuration from all angles. A recessed plinth supports the heavy parallelepiped of white concrete in which the living rooms are grouped. The ground floor thus tends to disappear, concealed under the overhang of the terrace. However, it is recalled by the peripheral rail under which the shutters and doors slide. Each of the three facades has been treated differently, depending on its orientation, proximity to the street and the quality of the spaces it covers. Thus, the gable close to the public thoroughfare has been left blind, while the more remote front façade extends two large, lengthwise windows, in the Corbusé style. The back, sheltered from foreign eyes, opens cheerfully to the garden and deploys a large bay window upstairs. The doubling of circulations, common at that time, here reinforces the principle of duality. The main staircase is left hidden behind a semi-glazed wall, while an external spiral gives direct access to the floor, from the rear. If the study of this villa was signed by the architect Salomon, it was Marc Quentin who carried out the work. This atypical collaboration generated a project of character and full of originality.
