Extended Resource Display

Description
Isn't it annoying how difficult it is to see luxury resource quantities by default? This mod makes the quantities and trade turn times of luxury and strategic resources clearer by packaging them all in a single handy tooltip.

Resources are displayed in the format of: # available to trade / # you own total (## of turns left before available is updated + or - quantity change when trade is up)

Direct link available here[www.dropbox.com]

Heavily inspired by the "Luxury Resource Display" mod by magus424[forums.civfanatics.com], but hopefully you spot the improvements. Notables ones include:

- Only resources you actually currently own are displayed, rather than every possible resource even when you don't have them or can't get them.

- Excess resources are highlighted in green while deficiencies are highlighted in red. Resources highlighted in yellow are ones you only own via imports or city-state allies, so bear that in mind if you're going to be building strategic resource units or relying on certain luxuries for happiness.

- If you have any kind of trade deal involving a particular resource, up to three parenthesized turn timers can appear next to the relevant maximum quantity in order to let you know the soonest times your available quantity will change.

Extra details:

- Should work as is with any combination of Vanilla, Gods & Kings, and/or Brave New World.

- Shouldn't affect saves since it's a UI change only, but it seems to occasionally break for some saves or combinations of mods/DLC. Details currently uncertain, you'll just have to try it out to see if it works for a particular run.

- Completely identical trades (e.g. two instances of 1 Horse to Mongolia for 30 turns with both trades enacted on the same turn) currently do not display, but that should happen rarely or never for you.

- Currently in beta, so please comment if you come across any bugs.

Possible future updates:

- Display a small civilization symbol next to the turn timer so you know which exact deal will expire. Experiences suggest this may be an unlikely addition for the current display format, so I may have to think of some alternative identifying info like a textual abbreviation.

- Maybe also permit you to customize up to how many maximum timers you can see at once next to each resource.

- Think of a method to dynamically shift the position of the UI add-on depending on whether or not months are displayed. Can look a little silly when months are not present, but without the current spacing would definitely look bad when they are.

- Maybe alter the trade screen slightly to make it more clear how many copies of a resource you will have left if trading away some to the other civ. By default, AIs automatically renewing a deal can cause you to accidentally give up your last copy of a luxury resource if you're not paying careful attention. And unless you'd declare war against them just to break a deal, you may have to wait 30+ turns until the happiness penalty is cleared.

- Add filters that you can toggle in-game to see more details. Possibilities include: luxuries requested for growth bonuses (cyan highlight), resources requested from city-states (purple highlight), luxuries not owned but available on the map (grey highlight), and excess luxuries that other civs have available (pink highlight).

Is there a mod like this that does the same thing with strategic resources?

Sucks that it gets in the way with 24 hour clock :(

I don't know if this is still being supported, but any chance of having the list show ALL luxury and strategic bonuses in a given map/game... even those you don't currently have? Perhaps below a divider row?

Would love to be able to open the resources list and see which resources I don't have so I can focus future efforts towards them.

Thanks!

Guys, please, get someone to fix your arms. It works with IGE and a lot of other mods.

download mod, go to
C:\Users\YourName\Documents\My Games\Sid Meier's Civilization 5\MODS\Extended Resource Display (v 4)

open

ExtendedResourceDisplay.xml

with any notepad and change offset. I changed mine to

Offset="650,6"

And it works perfectly without overlapping with IGE

Not compatible with IGE, overlaps and shows last screen from top bar, not resources.

DOES NOT WORK.

Wonderful mod but with a small problem. The mod don't go well with VP EUI. Sometimes it is very hard to hover your mouse over the "resource" to see the list after you get many resources in the bar.
Hope you can improve it.
