Description
SCP-049 - The Plague Doctor

Object No.: SCP-049

Object Class: Euclid

Special conditions of detention: SCP-049 is being held in a standard reinforced humanoid holding cell in Research Sector 02 of Zone 19. Before any attempts to transport SCP-049, the object should be treated with sedatives. During transportation, SCP-049 must be in a reinforced system of restraints for Class 3 humanoids (with a collar and stretch limiters), under the constant supervision of at least two armed guards.

As a rule, SCP-049 contacts most of the Foundation's employees. Despite this, any sudden changes in behavior should be stopped by force. During such fluctuations, employees should avoid direct contact with the object by all available means. It has been established that the use of multi-cut lavender (L. multifida) can have a calming effect on an object if it becomes aggressive. After calming down, SCP-049 usually becomes more compliant and returns to the holding cell with little resistance.

In order to continue the successful maintenance of SCP-049, once every two weeks, the entity should provide the carcass of a recently deceased animal (usually a cow or other large mammal) for research. Corpses that have become SCP-049-2 should be removed from the SCP-049 holding cell and destroyed by incineration. It was decided to prohibit further experiments of SCP-049 on humans, so all requests for human subjects should be rejected.

Temporary addition to the conditions of detention: (See Appendix 049.3) According to Order No. 049.S19.17.1 of the Committee on Maintenance, SCP-049 is prohibited from direct interaction with Foundation employees. Also, the object is no longer given corpses for anatomical experiments. This measure is imposed indefinitely and can only be lifted after a consensus is reached on the long-term content of SCP-049.

Description: SCP-049 is a humanoid creature about 190 cm tall, similar in appearance to a medieval plague doctor. At first glance, it seems that SCP-049 is wearing a thick hoodie and a ceramic mask typical of this profession, however, judging by these garments, they have gradually grown out of the body of SCP-0491 itself and are currently indistinguishable from what they can hide underneath. However, X-rays show that SCP-049 has a skeleton similar to a human under this outer layer.

SCP-049 is able to speak many languages, although mostly prefers English and Old French.2 The character of SCP-049 is mostly friendly, the object willingly makes contact with the Foundation's employees, however, if, according to the object, there is what he calls a "Craze" nearby, he becomes extremely irritable, and sometimes even aggressive. The essence of this "Plague" is not clear to the Foundation's researchers, but it seems to be of particular importance for SCP-049.

SCP-049 shows open aggression towards those whom it considers to be affected by the "Plague", in such cases it often needs to be restrained. With freedom of action, SCP-049 usually attempts to kill such a subject; SCP-049 is able to stop all biological functions in the body through direct contact of exposed areas of the body. The mechanism of this phenomenon is unknown, the results of autopsies of victims killed by SCP-049 in this way are ambiguous in all cases. SCP-049 expresses annoyance or remorse over these deaths, stating that the victims did not try to fight the "Plague", although it usually seeks to perform a primitive operation on the corpse with the help of tools that he constantly carries with him in a black medical bag.3 The operation does not always lead to "success", but often leads to the creation of SCP-049-2.

SCP-049-2 - animated corpses of subjects operated on by SCP-049. Judging by external signs, they do not retain memories and mental skills and are endowed with only basic motor skills and reaction mechanisms. In general, they are sedentary, move rarely and haphazardly, but when prompted or at the command of SCP-049, they can become extremely aggressive. SCP-049-2 has active biological functions, but they are radically different from the human physiology known to modern science. Despite these differences, SCP-049 often claims that subjects have "healed".

Appendix 049.1: Detection

SCP-049 was discovered during the investigation of several cases of missing persons in the vicinity of Montaban, in the south of France. During a raid in one of the private houses, several copies of SCP-049-2 were found, as well as SCP-049 itself. There was a collision between representatives of law enforcement agencies and aggressive instances of 049-2. SCP-049 observed the course of the collision and made notes in its log. After all instances of SCP-049-2 were neutralized, SCP-049 voluntarily surrendered to the Foundation.

The following is a transcript of a conversation between Dr. Raymond Hamm and SCP-049 during the initial investigation.

Interviewer: Dr. Raymond Hamm, Area 85

Interviewee: SCP-049

[START OF RECORDING]

SCP-049: (In French) So, where should we start? Should I introduce myself?

Dr. Hamm: (Aside) Is that French? Can we have an interpreter?

SCP-049: (In English) His Majesty's English! There's no need for an interpreter, sir, I'm quite good at it.

Dr. Hamm: All right. My name is Dr. Raymond Hamm, I am…

SCP-049: Oh, Doctor! A person of close mindset, that's for sure. What is your specialty, sir?

Dr. Hamm: Cryptobiology, why…

SCP-049: (Laughs) A healer, just like me. The world is full of wonders! And I was afraid that I was kidnapped by low street trash! (Looks around) This room, does it serve as a laboratory for you? It's so clean and there are so few traces of the Plague that I couldn't help but think.

Dr. Hamm: The plague? What are you talking about?

SCP-049: Pestilence! Great Destruction. Come on, you know it's... (furiously taps his temple with his finger) ...what do they call it, it's... ah, it doesn't matter. The plague, yes. Behind these walls, it was rampant, you know. Many have already fallen victim to it, many will still fall until the perfect medicine is created. (Leans back in his chair) Luckily, I'm almost done with the job. My duty in this life is to rid the world of the Plague, you know. An Unsurpassed Medicine!

Dr. Hamm: You mentioned the "Great Doom." Are you talking about the bubonic plague?

SCP-049: (Pause) I do not know what it is.

Dr. Hamm: I see. So, those creatures that our agents found in that house, you found them already dead, right? And revived?

SCP-049: Hmm, you could say that. You look at things too simply, Doctor! Broaden your horizons! Life and death, illness and health are amateur terms used by amateurs from healing. There is only one disease in our mortal world, and its name is a Plague. Nothing else! Don't get me wrong, they were very sick, every single one of them.

Dr. Hamm: Do you think you healed those people?

SCP-049: Absolutely. My treatment is the most effective.

Dr. Hamm: What we found there were not people.

@Blackwood
If you call it a huge number of mods, then you haven't seen my first work:steamlaughcry:

Then again, it would be useless anyways since the sheer amount of mods corrupted this.

Im looking through alot of your works. They are good, but when I try and use these items without those 3 specific mods, none of em work. It looks like the game thought those moods were vital. Guess I will just have to use em

Yes, these 3 mods are absolutely useless, especially LSA, because I didn't even turn it on. But in general they can probably work without them

Not to be rude, as I understand why the SCP and resize mods would be needed, but If you do not mind me asking, why the scream mod, and blood on walls? the LSA forces one i understand being used for the guns models and armor but those two stick out to me, since you use them for a lot of your workshop items
