Honda Civic EHEV

シビック（CIVIC）は、本田技研工業が生産および販売している乗用車である。欧州ではCセグメントに、アメリカ合衆国ではコンパクトカーにそれぞれ区分されている。

ここでは11代目となるFL系について紹介する。

11代目は2020年11月にプロトタイプが披露された後、2021年4月にプロトタイプのベースとなったセダンが先行でフルモデルチェンジ。遅れてハッチバックも同年6月にワールドプレミアされ、同年8月にフルモデルチェンジが発表された。なお、11代目ではセダンが米国での発売となり、日本では埼玉製作所完成車工場（旧：寄居完成車工場）の製造にてハッチバックのみが発売される。ハッチバックがワールドプレミアされた際には、「爽快シビック」のグランドコンセプトが掲げられた。

以降のホンダ車に導入される新世代コモンアーキテクチャー戦略「ホンダ アーキテクチャー」採用の第1弾商品となる。

フロントフェイスは基本デザインは共通となっているが、グリルのデザインが異なり、セダンが水平基調に対し、ハッチバックではハニカムメッシュとなる。サイドビューはセダン・ハッチバック共にベルトラインを低くして水平基調とし、視認性向上のため、ドアミラー（サイドミラー）の取付位置が10代目のフロントウィンドウ先端からドア上に移動された。リアのLEDコンビネーションランプはセダンとハッチバックで異なっており、ハッチバックではリッドランプを上下で光らせることで遠方からの視認性を高める"C"ライングラフィックスが採用されている。

エンジンにはアトキンソンサイクルに加え、燃料をシリンダー内に直接噴射する直噴システムを備えた2.0LのLFC型を採用。幅広い領域で燃焼ガス中の有害物質が抑制されるとともに、高トルク化とエンジンモードでの走行可能領域を拡大。PCU（パワーコントロールユニット）は軽量・高出力仕様を搭載し、IPU（インテリジェントパワーユニット）はリチウムイオンバッテリーに低全高の新型セルが採用され、車体の低重心化とボディの高剛性化、ガソリンモデルと変わらない居住性と荷室容量を実現するためリアシート下に配置された。使用燃料がレギュラーガソリンとなり、燃料消費率はガソリンモデルよりも性能が高く、2030年度燃費基準を達成している。

Here, we will introduce the 11th generation FL series.

After the prototype of the 11th generation was unveiled in November 2020, the sedan that was the base of the prototype was fully remodeled in April 2021. A hatchback was delayed and made its world premiere in June of the same year, and a full model change was announced in August of the same year. In the 11th generation, the sedan will be released in the United States, and in Japan only the hatchback will be released at the Saitama Factory Completed Vehicle Plant (former Yorii Completed Vehicle Plant). When the hatchback made its world premiere, the grand concept of the "Exhilarating Civic" was presented.

It will be the first product to adopt the new-generation common architecture strategy "Honda Architecture" that will be introduced in subsequent Honda vehicles.

The basic design of the front face is the same, but the design of the grille is different. The sedan has a horizontal tone, while the hatchback has a honeycomb mesh. The side view of both the sedan and hatchback has a horizontal tone with a low beltline, and the mounting position of the door mirror (side mirror) has been moved from the tip of the front window of the 10th generation to the top of the door to improve visibility. The rear LED combination lamps differ between the sedan and the hatchback, and the hatchback adopts "C" line graphics that enhance visibility from a distance by illuminating the lid lamps from above and below.

In addition to the Atkinson cycle, the engine adopts a 2.0L LFC type equipped with a direct injection system that directly injects fuel into the cylinder. Hazardous substances in the combustion gas are suppressed in a wide range, and the driving range in high torque and engine mode is expanded. The PCU (power control unit) is equipped with a lightweight and high output specification, and the IPU (intelligent power unit) uses a new low overall height cell for the lithium ion battery, lowering the center of gravity of the car body and increasing the rigidity of the body, making it similar to the gasoline model. It was placed under the rear seat to achieve the same comfort and luggage space. The fuel used is regular gasoline, and the fuel consumption rate is higher than that of the gasoline model, achieving the 2030 fuel efficiency standards.
