Stellaris Texture Pack - Planetary Diversity 4K

Description

ACHIEVEMENT COMPATIBLE

This mod has a large file size and is only meant for higher end computers. The textures can slow down your game dramatically if your computer cannot handle it. If you have a lower end computer please download the 2K LITE version of this mod here:

If you do not use Planetary Diversity, I have created a base game only version here (NOTE: This only includes files from Immersive Galaxy except for a few custom gas giant textures I've created):

It is not necessary to download both, please only use one or the other.

Better Arcologies is a separate mod and must be downloaded individually. It is not included in this one.

The Stellaris Texture Pack is designed to be a continuation of Immersive Galaxy, which was released several years ago but has since not been updated. Dwayne, the mod author of Immersive Galaxy, created a texture pack that included several new hi-res textures for the mod Planetary Diversity, however many new worlds have been added to the mod since 2018. This mod combines the textures of Immersive Galaxy with hundreds of new textures created by me for Planetary Diversity, with the goal being to add variation and beauty to your solar systems.

This mod includes the following:
  • Over 140 new custom made textures for habitable worlds for the mod Planetary Diversity
  • Over 160 new custom made textures of uninhabitable worlds for the mod Planetary Diversity
  • All existing textures from the original Immersive Galaxy, including base game, cloud and night light textures
  • 35 new textures created by me for base game gas giants, as well as gas giant textures from the mod Real Space

Each world will have three new corresponding textures, except for Unique worlds as they only appear once in each galaxy. I have no way of overwriting the original textures without causing compatibility problems, so in total there should be four new textures for each habitable world from Planetary Diversity.

This mod must be placed below Planetary Diversity in your load order or it will NOT work. This is a very important step. This mod should also be placed below Real Space if you use it otherwise there will be conflicts with the gas giant textures.

I am unable at this time to get Hot and Cold Aquatic world textures to be appear in-game because it would require overwriting many files from Planetary Diversity. You'll need to use the console commands below to get them to appear in-game until I get it fixed:

(Click on planet first and select one)
HOT
effect set_planet_entity = { entity = aquatichot_planet_02_entity }
effect set_planet_entity = { entity = aquatichot_planet_03_entity }
effect set_planet_entity = { entity = aquatichot_planet_04_entity }
COLD
effect set_planet_entity = { entity = aquaticcold_planet_02_entity }
effect set_planet_entity = { entity = aquaticcold_planet_03_entity }
effect set_planet_entity = { entity = aquaticcold_planet_04_entity }

This mod should be compatible with most mods on the Workshop as it is purely a texture mod and does not alter any gameplay.
  • Planetary Diversity: This mod requires Planetary Diversity for most of the textures to appear in-game. It is possible to run this mod without it, but then you'll only get the base game textures. I have created a separate mod for those who only play with the base game here, but there is little difference between it and the original Immersive Galaxy except for new gas giant textures. Most of the changes in this mod are for Planetary Diversity:

  • Real Space: This mod is designed to be compatible with Real Space, and includes the gas giant textures from that mod as well. Should work with System Scale as well. Please make sure it is below Real Space in your load order so that the gas giant textures do not get screwed up.
  • New Frontiers: As of right now this mod is not compatible with New Frontiers. I am working on a compatible version to be released sometime in the future, but because the coding and the way the mod works are much different than Planetary Diversity it may take some time. The Base Game version is compatible with New Frontiers.
  • Immersive Galaxy: This mod is not compatible with any previous versions of Immersive Galaxy, including the re-upload released last year. Stellaris Texture Project includes every texture from the original Immersive Galaxy so it is not necessary to have both. Please uninstall any old versions as this mod will conflict with it. Nuclear Fire will still work, but Night Lights is already included in this mod and no longer necessary.
Stellaris Texture Pack is probably not compatible with any other mods that alter the textures of celestial bodies. Not sure which others exist.

Yep.. I appreciate your efforts. Personally I believe that the beauty of the galaxy is what makes Stellaris great; it is always welcome to have mods like these revived and supported

It looks like this mod will need a pretty substantial update due to changes within the base Planetary Diversity mod. I will update this as soon as I can.

The new release of Planetary Diversity for 3.12 is out. Will this have any conflicts before I update to Stellaris and PD 3.12?

Hi, is it compatible with the latest version?

I don't know. You'll have to try.

Is it possible to use this in a multiplayer lobby where the others are not using it?
