Dawn of the Republic

Description
Stellaris - Dawn of the Republic Mod

THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH FOR 5K SUBCRIBERS!

Did you always dream of building the Galactic Republic in Stellaris? Well, the base game certainly lacks the options for it. This is why I made this mod - Dawn of the Republic! In this mod, you can form the Galactic Republic, the home of freedom and democracy in the Galaxy! Will you spread the ideals of the Republic across the Galaxy, either via diplomacy or war, or will you use your power in the Galaxy to transition the Republic into the Galactic Empire? The choice is yours!

Feature List

  • Added a new civic - Galactic Chancellor (automatically added when resolution passes)
  • Added new events - For the formation of the Republic, and for a possible transition to the Galactic Empire
  • Added new resolutions - 'Universal Rights of the Citizen', 'Form the Grand Army of the Republic', 'Proclaim the
Galactic Republic' and 'Dissolve the Galactic Republic', which are available for non-gestalt and non-megacorp empires.
  • Added a new building - the Galactic Senate Building, the capital building for the Galactic Republic
  • The Republic can expand the rights of the citizens of the Galaxy, by diplomacy or force

  • The Clones can betray the Republic with Directive 66!

Guide to the 'Galactic Republic'

The Galactic Republic can be formed by any empire that has been declared the Galactic Custodian. Proceed down the path as you normally would when you'd want to become Emperor, but instead of selecting the 'Proclaim the Galactic Imperium' resolution, choose the 'Proclaim the Galactic Republic' resolution, which is available for non-megacorp and non-gestalt empires. Then, if the resolution passes, the Republic will be proclaimed!

I hope you enjoy and if you have some suggestions, be sure to let me know!

@Trein05 thanks for your answer. Well, we will hope the devs actually do something related to enhancing/expanding game mechanincs instead of trying to change already unexistend game balance:D

@Big Bubba I have just tested it and when the Republic declares war against a federation only the federation leader is able to see the effect of a peace. This is unfortunately a base-game issue and can cause a game-breaking bug when a nation declares war on a federation member that is not the leader, because the main defender can't sign a separate peace and the federation president can't sign a peace because they're not the main defender, and then no one can see the effect of a peace or sign a peace. I hope the devs resolve this issue in the future, but there's nothing I can do about it unfortunately
