UPDATE!!!!

(No longer affects the jump animation "Hu1" since that broke certain balance for heroes and lords)

COMPATIBILITY
-Save Game: Yes (It can be both added and removed at will with no issues)
-Custom Units: Yes
-All other mods: Yes

-ALL elves (sword and shield infantry/dark elf and wood elf spear infantry Also Lords)
-Lizardmen (Skinks, and Kroq-gar)
-Tomb Kings (Infantry and Lords)
-Dwarves (Infantry and Lords)

NOTICE: Apparently this affects Tomb Kings and any other units that use hu1_sword_shield (Brettonia and some vampire units like grave guards) animations since CA reuses a lot of animations across some factions.

Compatible with everything, (Including Custom units since they always use vanilla animations) this mod may be the first of its kind (editing animation files and not land_units_table) I did this by making copies of the normal attack animations and renaming those copies to overwrite the stupid ones.

Spear and shield armed troops now ONLY use there spear to attack, no more jumping into the enemy force and leaving formation also no more kicking why would you kick something when you can stab it from a distance. (They will still use shield bash every now and then but I made it less likely)

Sword and shield guys no longer do the ballerina spin and suicide dive into enemy formations and for charges they now do a jab or shield bash.

Empire Lords (and any other sword and shield lord that uses Hu01 anims) no longer jump into the middle of the enemy and will now stay in formation with troops and cut heretics from the safety of their own lines

This mod took me 4 hours to complete since i had to experiment with what was even possible within the animation tables.

I made this simply because all other mods with the same premise tried to fix it by editing the land_units table which makes them incompatible with literally every overhaul mod and has other issues like losing other cool animation bits tied to sword and shield.

So yes this mod works with Radious and SFO

Let me know if you guys find any other attack animations that you hate.

Also if you guys like the mod please consider giving it an up-vote so more people can see it and not have to cringe like I did every time I watched one of my empire boys try and be a ballerina while diving into a group of chaos chosen.

:/ jump attack into enemy formation is the worst one though.... its the only one thats actively helping the other guy :D (still appreciate the work you but into this best animation fix on the market)

@Dad Honestly.... that's because I put the jumping on charge back in because it caused to many issues without it.

This still edits MANY other units to remove some of the more serious outliers.

Ultimately the only animation that truly broke my immersion was the Ballerina spin from the empire soldiers.

If that wasn't what bugged you then this mod likely isn't for you.

P.S: If you remove the jump animation form Hu1 it affects all lords and heroes of all factions that use it which are a lot. (It causes them to delay and sit there for a moment sometimes to, this was not the case for any other animation)

You claim that its both still working, at that it should affect Grave Guard. I can confirm that it's definitely not working right now, as I watch my Grave Guard leap out of formation and into the attacking force.

I don't believe this is working. I'm still noticing empire troops using jumping attacks. Same for dwarfs and chaos dwarfs
