Description

A Long Awaited Rewrite Is Here
A thing that supposes to take 2 weeks turned into 6 or 7 (I lost the count). I have had enough. Don't get me wrong, I'll still be working on it. I just want it out already.

What Is What:
  • A full rewrite:
    > Everything is brand new.
    > Based on SWEPs.

  • New ability system which comes with:
    > Small HUD.
    > Support for custom icons.

  • Support for NPC animations (any animations I guess):

  • New third-person camera system that comes with:
    > Customisable position.
    > Customisable crosshair.
    > A 360-degree rotation (disabled by default).

  • Ability to make players play any animation (via chat and code):
    > Full-body.
    > Gestures.
    > Flinching.

  • Comes with the Bone Animation API for custom Lua animations:
    > It has a built-in editor, check the commands section for a little bit more information.

  • New tracer/bone-based footstep system,

  • Melee system,

  • Rappel system,

  • Door kicking system:
    > Kicking locked doors open is disabled by default but can be enabled via the mod's menu.

  • Quite a nice relation system with support for VJBase,

  • Grenade throwing system (just like the Combine soldiers):
    > It uses 'Grenade' ammo.
    > You can quickly tap the grenade button or hold it if you wish to throw a grenade closer/further.

  • Ally marker system with names:
    > This system either uses entity names or classes if the previous is not available.
    > You can set the maximum distance of these to render.
    > NPC names are loaded after 5 seconds to give you time to change said NPC's name. This check doesn't run every frame on a timer to save on performance.
    > You can disable Name displays (to save on performance) or markers overall.
    > There is a tool that lets you change NPCs' names.

  • Action menu can be used to assign up to 9 different actions for every suit:
    > It's also the place where you can find NPC commands.

  • NPC commanding system (recoded and upgraded Followers Mod pretty much):
    > You can either select a single NPC (By aiming at it) or all nearby friendly NPCs by aiming somewhere away.
    > Let me explain all of the orders:
    - Squad: Help! - If you see an enemy (either NPC or a Player) you can use this command to call all nearby friendly NPCs to help you. They will try to reach the spotted enemy location and engage in the fight.
    - Squad: Advance! - This command orders friendly NPCs to rush at their enemies.
    - Squad: Forward! - This command orders friendly NPCs to move whenever you're aiming your crosshair (if possible).
    - Squad: Follow! - Friendly NPCs will join your "squad" and follow you around. They can enter Vehicles with you if said vehicles have physical seats. They will teleport to you if you're out of reach and have no collisions with you.
    - Squad: Stop! - Generally used to cancel orders and force NPCs to stop following you.
    - Squad: Patrol! - NPCs will patrol the area until the enemy is found, they will engage and go back to patrolling.
    - Squad: Take Cover! - Friendly NPCs will drop what they are doing and try to find a cover from the danger.

  • Support for HL2 Level Transitions,

  • S.A.M. (Suit Appearance Modifier) which lets you change almost everything about any suit (starting from the model and ending on relations with other NPCs):
    > Please keep in mind that if you change your model to VJBase NPC, that NPC will attack you. It's something related to VJBase itself. If you're trying to create your suit, keep in mind to change model paths or names.
    > S.A.M. can be duplicated or saved when the hologram is active. After that, its interface can't be accessed.
    > S.A.M.'s modified suits can't be dropped and removed instead with an appropriate message.
    > Make sure that the model that you're trying to use has the same animations as a base suit.

  • TFAVox support,

COMMANDS:
The [BASE] menu can be found in the brand new tab "filz0" if You open your spawn menu (Q).

  • csb_load_lua_animator - To load Lua Animation menu (Admins and Super Admins only).

  • My Vox-like system.

KNOWN BUGS:
There are some. Probably, and I beg You to report them all.

INCOMPATIBLE ADD-ONS:
Enhanced PlayerModel Selector - LibertyForce
  • Constantly changes players' new suit model to the default player model breaking animations. To fix this, disable
    the 'Enforce your Playermodel' function in the mods settings.

Climb Swep 2 - Jon a scone
  • Breaks Third-person camera. No fix available.

Mods that drastically change default AI.

Mods that overwrite NPC relationships.

    What can I say? It's pretty damn climatic. You might need to add more seats. I know that the mod description states that the dropship has 6 passenger seats, but they are not physical.
