The Magnet Tool

Description

The Magnet Tool allows you to create magnets.

When you touch a metal prop to a magnet, it sticks.

The magnets can be enabled and disabled using a bound key.

They can also optionally pull stuff towards them when they're on.

If you experience any stability issues, use less objects or increase the magnet's weight (using a weight STool).

The code is open source and available on github: https://github.com/vaqxai/gmod_magnet_tool

If you encounter any issues or have any suggestions, use the Issues page on the github.

i have one really important thing to ask you for. Can you make it work right as it's spawned? like you don't even need to press the button for it to work. Could've been nice if it could also be something other than cranemagnet01a.mdl, but that's not important since i can just change it with model manipulator. Much thanks for the tool

i have a bit of a problem with the magnet cause when i first found this mod i used it alot and i would always press the assigned number once and it would stay on and it would actually pull things and now it requires me to hold the button and it wont pull anything.

I assume you don't take requests- quite frankly, I don't blame you- but, hear me out: back when I first started playing GMod in late May/early June of 2017, there was a toolgun tool that allowed you to create fans. Like, you click on the tool, it allows you to edit the force and everything (including model; I recall playing with it only two times ever).

The reason I ask is because I remember seeing it in 2017, but when I checked in mid-2019, it was gone.
Never did find it again, so I assumed it was either gone, lost or the person who created it either was reported for some dumb (hell, who knows, maybe legit) reason, deleted their account or just got banned.
But, if it's even possible... it'd mean a lot to me if you could make this.

Also yeah, sorry for the long-winded comment; I tend to do that with all my comments. I try not to and then it... kind of happens.
